Too much?

My son is 4 weeks old and has trouble burping so he always screams because of the bubbles in his tummy. We have tried everything but the only thing that seems to help is feeding him and gas medicine but I don't want to have to keep giving him medicine. He is all breastfed and I know he is not crying because he's hungry. He has gained 3 lbs since he was born and the dr says his weight is good but Is it bad for me to be feeding him just because he is in pain?

    Some kiddos need gas drops with every feed. Has he been checked for reflux?

    Bed rest from 21w-35w due to short cervix, hospital bed rest from 23w-32w due to PTL
    Our rainbows were born 07/19/13 (36w, 5d)
