HSG nerves

I'm going in for my HSG today and am SO incredibly nervous. I've had my blood work done and everything is normal/ok except my estrogen is "a little high." His SA was great! I probably wouldn't be as worried if my OB hadn't made the off handed comment of "you've been off the pill for 8 years and never had an oopsie.... huh?" Makes me feel like something must be wrong. And since everything else is fine....
I know we have to wait till next week to get the results from today. But I'm going to be a nervous wreck all week. Which I know doesn't help at all. Also since insurance doesn't cover any fertility tests or treatments we're all OOP, which is another huge concern.
Thank you for letting me vent. I just needed to say this to someone other than my boyfriend and I know you all are so supportive and most have already had this done

That's nice how your OB refers to pregnancies as "oopsies". I wouldn't worry too much about his comment. It's funny how in high school you're taught to believe that if you even stand too close to a guy that you'll get pregnant but once you start trying you realize what a miracle it really is for the stars to align properly and conception to occur. 

Good luck today. Did they tell you you'd have to wait for results? We had a consultation with RE right after I had the test to go over everything.

I have had 2- one was easy like a pap, the other was uncomfortable and I had wished I'd taken pain killers, so you might want to pop one right before/after. I think it depends on your tech, your anatomy, and whether you are blocked or not. 

You should get the results right then in a sense- they'll tell you if you are blocked or not, at least mine did both times.  I was also told ours was not covered due to it being an infertility diagnostic but we were pleasantly surprised a large portion was (expected an $800 bill ended up being just shy of $300). This was my experience anyway.  Best of luck!

@Bearfootz‌ when I was my RE earlier this week they told me they'd call when they got the results so I could make an appointment to come in and we could talk about them. So I just assumed I wouldn't know anything till then. If I know a little today (like no blockage) that will definitely put my mind at ease.
@kindershlitz‌ Thanks I have my cramp tabs and antibiotics (prescribed just for this test) ready to go 1 hr prior. And I guess I can submit it to insurance and see what they say.

Hope it goes well! I had one, and it didn't hurt.

I also hope you get good news, but if they do find a blockage, at least that's a much easier problem to fix/circumvent than, say, bad eggs.

It went well, I guess.... it was so quick! Not add bad as I thought it was going to be. Only cramps when the dye went in.
The nurse said that since she only took one image and didn't have me move around then she thinks everything was good.... I have a cd of the images for my RE to look at so I might put it in the computer at home so I can look fire myself. Don't know that I'll be able to tell or not. Haha! More relieved and relaxed than when I went in
