Re: TTA check in 9/18

  • Morning @skategirl128, how are you doing today?

Boring check-in from me.  I'm too tired to think of anything fun to say.

Any updates from the week? Nothing much.

What was the high/low of the week? Nothing really, just trying to make it through

Any TTA related frustrations? Not this week

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? Going to bed tonight.  Had three nights of little sleep and I'm ready for bed already!

QOTW: what are your favorite shows?  I still like Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, SVU, Criminal Minds, Property Brothers and Love It or List It.  I don't get much time to watch tv these days, so it's not unusual for me to have weeks of shows to catch up on!

Any updates from the week? - Nope.

What was the high/low of the week? - Not really a low, but just really want AF and it shows no signs of returning.

Any TTA related frustrations? - Not really, still getting used to the whole condom business!

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? - Heading into Ottawa Saturday for a 5K and some shopping.  My SIL and MIL will be there, and I'm looking forward to seeing them :)

QOTW: what are your favorite shows? - Scandal, Grey's, GoT, American Horror Story, Glee (more out of loyalty at this point), Veep, The Mindy Project, Brooklyn 99

    Happy Thursday, ladies!

  • Hi ladies!  Well, I've got at least a few more weeks with you lovely ladies. Hope everyone's having a good week :)

Any updates from the week?  Had our MFM visit this week.  No big AHA moments but we put some precautionary plans in place and also did the Counsyl test to double check for any recessive disorders. We have a follow up in 3 weeks and should get the green light for TTC on our next cycle.

What was the high/low of the week? High- getting a plan in place; Low- having to go through all of the history again with the new doctor

Any TTA related frustrations?  Not too much longer so just trying to be patient

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? Vacation next week, so just looking forward to that!

QOTW: what are your favorite shows?  Scandal, Vampire Diaries, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, the list goes on and on :)

    BFP #1- 4/2011; DD Brynn born 12/2011

BFP #2- 7/13; EDD- 4/2/14; Lost DS at 20 weeks (11/16/13) due to cord accident

BFP #3- 3/14; EDD- 11/28/14; Lost DD at 15 weeks (6/7/14)- cause unknown

To my angels- I held you every second of your lives and I'll love you every second of mine.

  • Hi ladies!

@skategirl128, thanks  for the check-in! How are you doing this week?

@rmpar29 - Hope you get a solid night's sleep tonight. I've been sleeping badly this week too, it sucks!

@jms627 - Hope AF comes soon. I feel your pain on the frustration of waiting! Have fun in Ottawa!

@sunflwra - Sounds like your MFM visit went well. I'm glad you have some plans in place. FX that you can TTC next cycle!

    AFM:

Any updates from the week? Got the results of my thyroid test and turns out all is normal, which is good, but doesn't really give me any answers for my loss. I'm working on just accepting that I will never know why it happened.

What was the high/low of the week? High - getting to spend the day on Sunday with my two best friends and help one of them plan for her upcoming wedding. Low - work has been a real drag this week!

Any TTA related frustrations? Just waiting for that damn AF! I have no idea when to expect her since my doctor said 4-8 weeks after my D&C, and it has only been 4. I'm just so damn anxious to get back to normal and to start charting.

Anything that you're looking forward to this week? We are having a 90th birthday party for my grandpa on Saturday. I love him and I can't wait to celebrate him!

QOTW: what are your favorite shows? Scandal, Orange is the New Black, Ray Donovan, Homeland, GoT. Can't wait for the new seasons of Scandal and Homeland that are starting soon!

  • Thanks for the check in! It's been a rough week both personally and professionally, but getting through. The main positive for the week is that my beta dropped again, from 490 last week to 94 this week so might finally be getting closer to the end of this miscarriage tunnel. All of my testing has so far come back normal- once my levels drop and AF arrives I will hopefully get a hysteroscopy done. Hoping to get the green light to TTC in November if my boys gets moving.

  • Hi ladies, I intros on the main ttcal board and I've been posting in the ladies in waiting check in. Might as well check in here too right?
Longer intro can be found on the main board, but here's a short one:
We lost our son Fenix at 36 weeks 7/31/14 due to (we think) a tear in the umbilical cord. Almost done with our Masters degree in counseling. sooo close. Doc gave the green light to TTC, but we decided to TTA until January 2015 to make doubly sure I was healed physically and let us heal a little emotionally.
And now, to the check in questions:
    Any updates from the week?
Since this is my first post here, I guess no updates. Really just been waiting things out emotionally, testing the waters here and there with showing my face in public without breaking out into tears. It's getting better with the help of Remeron I think. maybe. we'll see.
What was the high/low of the week?
the high of the week was probably when DH and I got drunk and watched Return to Zero together. lots of dark cynical humor, tears and talking through things, and more  dark cynical humor. It was oddly healing and opened the pathways of communication.
the low was definitely two nights ago. fearing falling behind in schoolwork triggered a reaction where I started blaming myself for Fenix's death again and I spent the better part of 3 hours straight ugly crying. Logically I know it wasn't my fault, but I'm still trying to convince my heart of it.
    Any TTA related frustrations?
DH is still having a hard time, as am I. When I want to DTD (protected), DH is usually already asleep, and vice versa. Also, getting used to condoms again. ugh.
Anything that you're looking forward to this week?
DH has a full week of medical testing at the Mayo Clinic for his chronic gastroparesis and dysautonomia. Hoping we can get some answers, and maybe something more than the symptom management approach we've had. I'm also looking forward to spending some evenings out on the beach and just listen to the waves.
QOTW: what are your favorite shows?
Game of Thrones tops the charts on this one!! For now, I've been waiting for the Sons of Anarchy episodes. I have no clue what shows I'm going to watch when SoA is over!
