Just went in office to hear HB.. I'm 10 wk 5 d and NOTHING! Going in at 2 for ultrasound and I really am freaking out! I've had 2 miscarriages already in a row this year that have happened naturally and have had no signs of miscarrying this time! Has anyone else gone in office not heard a HB then have a positive outcome at the ultrasound? I am devastated and trying to stay calm but I'll be crushed if anything has happened!

It's definitely possible that it's too early to hear the heartbeat by doppler. I hope that the u/s shows baby's heartbeat is nice and strong. I'm sorry you're going through this waiting period.

Yesterday at my midwife appointment, they couldn't find the heartbeat at 10 weeks along. They said they normally don't even look till 12 weeks because this stage it can be hit or miss. I have a doppler at home and more time so I've heard it myself.

My doctor won't even use a Doppler to hear the heartbeat before 11 weeks (even if you're just a few days shy) because it can be really hard to find a heartbeat sometimes. I'm so sorry you are going through this emotional rollercoaster. I how you can get the ultrasound appointment soon and everything is just fine. Hugs!!!

FX for you! I went in last week at 10w2d and my doctor couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler either. She did a scan, and everything was fine.... It was just too early. Try not to stress, but keep us posted! T&P for you this afternoon!

As pp have said, this early on it can be tough to find. It's taken me 15-20 minutes to find it at home with my Doppler. They don't usually spend that kind of time in the office. Fingers crossed you have a beautiful beating heart on your u/s this afternoon!

Will be thinking of you this afternoon. Keep us posted. I guess my dr waits to hear the heartbeat as well - we were able to see it on the ultrasound though at 8w3d - FX your u/s gives you the reassurance you need.

At my doctors app yesterday, she wouldn't use a Doppler, she said it so hit and miss, she did a quick US and there was my little bean doing back flips. I'm sure you will go at 2 and see your little one with a great heartbeat. Keep us posted. (Hugs)

I just went today and I am almost 12 weeks. They couldn't pick up a heartbeat on the doppler, but did a quick U/S and everything was good. She said even at this stage it's hit or miss with the doppler. FX for you, I'm sure everything will be just fine : )

When I went in for my dr appt at 10w1d they couldn't find the hb on the doppler. My dr said more than 50% of the time they cant find it before 12w with the doppler. I was able to see the hb on the ultrasound. T&P for a good result for you.

My ob searched and searched for the hb Mon at my appointment. After about 5 minutes she finally found it. I was 11 +5 at the time. It's definitely possible that it's just too early to hear it with the Doppler right now. Fx for good news at your us.

I understand your fear. After four miscarriages this happened to me with my second daughter. I was 11 weeks. Four different nurses were called in to try and find heartbeat. No one was able to, so they sent me right for an ultrasound. The baby was there bouncing around like crazy! I hope you have the same experience. She is 2 years old now and still a bouncy bean.
