Girl name suggestions, starts with 'A'?

We are expecting a girl, and DH wants me to pick the name but he'd like it to start with an A. His grandmother's name was Alice (I feel like he'd like us to use her name for our baby girl, but he's not wanting to sway me). Middle name will be Lynn. I like classic, preppy names. I've loved Ava for years, but is it too popular? Any suggestions?

I like Ava. It's pretty popular (top 10 in my area) Other suggestions: Ada, Anna, Anya, Aria, Audra, Alison.

I love Adelaide with no nn. Also love Alice, Anika, Ava. Our family has an Anastasia, Alexandra, Allison, Audrey so many pretty names!

I LOVE Alice, but I agree that Alice Lynn sounds like Allison.

I would not go with Ava.

Thanks for all the ideas lots to think about. Allison is a front-runner now, I saw that it means "little Alice" and I'm still loving Ava, especially with my mn Lynn. I love the nn Allie too! This is going to be hard...

I like Alice Lynn better than Allison Lynn. Ava Lynn is nice too, but my pick is still Alice. All sound fine with your ln.

Alice Lynn and Allison Lynn both run together, imo. I'm of the "if you really love it, just use it" camp. Ava Lynn is lovely, and who cares if it's popular.
I also know babies named Avalon, Avalyn, and Aveline.

This was going to be my name, but my parents decided at the last minute to change my middle name. I'm so glad! Amanda Lynn just would not have worked!

Alice is lovely. Ava is lovely too. I'm around a lot of children and I never hear this name. Check your state's rank on Ava.
