Welcome to the September Sweet Peas Check-In!!! Check-ins will be every Tuesday & Friday. Your check-in leaders are @Justone13 (Tuesday) and @ChristieH917 (Friday).
This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for September. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below. Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, and when you're planning on retrieval and transfer. (Also, please update us along the way!)
For those that don't have it yet, here is the link to our new badge...
Good Morning Sweet Peas. I am looking forward to hearing all of the great updates!!
Congrats to all the BFP's and fx for the PUPO's. Fx to all the ladies between ER and ET I swear that is the most stressful time.
AFM: I went in for blood work yesterday and I still haven't ovulated. This really doesn't surprise me due to the fact that it took 50 days for me to get AF last month. This is CD22 for me now so I'll repeat blood work on Friday. My RE popped into my booth yesterday while I was having the blood drawn so I was able to talk to him a little bit. He said that I just have to wait to ovulate before we can do anything else..joy. But I was able to discuss how terrified I am that we aren't going to have any to freeze. I asked if we get to day 5 and they aren't looking like they will freeze if we could transfer if its safe. He agreed to that backup plan which really set my mind at ease.
At this point because of my long protocol I'm bumped out of the September group. I talked to @christieH917 about continuing on with this group as a check in leader and would love to stay since I feel like I have really gotten to know you all. I'm thinking I'll skip going to the October group.
QOTD: I love to bake but I'm really really bad at it. Cooking I'm great at but don't really care to do it. Funny right?? My favorite thing to cook is creamy veggie pasta. My Dh loves it, it was the first meal I fed him when we were dating

Good morning ladies! I am 5dp5dt.... Friday cannot get here soon enough!! Its true that between ET and Beta time stands still. On the upside, I am feeling good, just anxious Seeing the BFPs has been very encouraging!!!
I love how active this group is! Best of luck to all!
QOTD: I love baking! As a hobby, I make custom sugar cookies for various events. Cookies for all!! (any Joan's in the crowd?)
I started my stims on Sunday. I went for a monitoring appointment yesterday and I go back tomorrow morning.
QOTD: I love to cook and bake! My husband has diabetes so I have learned a whole new way of cooking to keep things in control for him. Also, because of this, I don't bake as much as I used to. My friends laugh all the time because my facebook is filled of food pictures! With Halloween coming up, here is some of the food I made for last years party!
Edited to add a picture.
I am 37 and DH is 40
10/2012 Start TTC
09/2013 Finally got to see the RE12/2013 HSG-both tubes clear
01/2014 Large Cyst Removed along with right ovary and tube
04/2014 2nd HSG-Remaining tube damaged/blocked
05/2014 Testing cycle and BCP to prep for IVF
06/2014 IVF cycle #1 is scheduled cancelled due to low estrogen
07/2014 Started Estrace to help with my estrogen issues
Good morning ladies! I officially started stimming yesterday. My baseline U/S was yesterday morning and I had 7-9 so far. So last night was my first time poking myself! I think I did okay lol. Not loving the small syringe/needle combo on the menopur though...took forever to finish! And of course that's the one my husband decided to watch me do...
QOTD: I do all the cooking so I don't love it anymore, but I still love baking when I have time for it. Since the weather cooled I'm craving some pumpkin! So pumpkin muffins will prob be happening soon
Today I'm 7dp5dt, and I've been peeing on sticks since yesterday.. and today my lines are getting a bit darker. Still light, but obviously there. I'm hopeful, but also terrified. Beta is Thursday.
QOTW: I love both! I'm not that good at it though, but I love to try. But I'm a recipe follower, I can't just whip up something creative.
I'm officially PUPO as of Sunday morning! I didn't get an embryo grade, and I didn't get a picture of the embryo (although, I think my clinic gives them if the cycle turns out bfp- from what I've heard) I did get a picture of the embryo+fluid entering through the catheter though. I also had a fight with DH that night, so I'm hoping I didn't ruin things implantation wise. I'm also anticipating needing to have a serious convo with my MIL, as she's reported all our IVF stats to everyone she knows. I think she thinks this is her potential child. It's too much.
So happy to see everyone moving along. It really is inspiring!
Qotd: both! But I've been baking less since trying to cut out refined flour
GL to everyone who is PUPO, stimming and between ER & ET.
AFM, I just had my first monitoring appointment this morning. I have 4 follicles 11+ on the right and 1 11+ on the left plus a ton that were in the 9 to 10mm range. Lining was at a 6.8 which for me is amazing considering how early we are. Next apt is on Thursday morning.
QOTD: I like to cook and bake, but if I had to choose I prefer to cook. My DH and I have started to get into smoking ribs and I think we have finally found the perfect dry rub!

I am done stimming! Triggered last night for retrieval on Wednesday morning. Excited/scared to death. My last run in with anesthesia resulted in me unconscious the entire day ( I think they were a bit heavy handed with the meds). I had 24 follicles yesterday, still 10-12 of them that look good size, 15-19mm yesterday. estrogen 1663, only up from 1400s the day before but I'm on ganirelix which I learned can suppress estrogen, so trying not to obsess over all the numbers. DH driving me crazy with his work schedule woes for tomorrow. Seriously? I do not care. It is one day of the year, you're required to show up, do your thing, and be my taxi cab home. Find someone to cover you at work for 4 hours.
Ok done venting now.
QOTD: I cook more than bake, but do a bit of both. I love Asian food, or anything comfort food.
Congrats to all the BFP's! Such awesome news! And good luck to all the PUPO!
I'm still stimming. Had a monitoring apptmt this morning and am waiting to hear from my nurse. I'm hoping we're near the end and ready for an ER on Friday, which was the original estimated ER date.
QOTD: I love baking, especially cheesecake!

I too have been peeing on sticks since yesterday, I'm 5dp5/6dt. I had a faint positive on 3 wondfo's yesterday and this morning I used a FRER and another wondfo and there is a line, it's still faint but shows up in a pic and my husband sees it. My Beta is Friday and I'm scared shitless. I need a dark line, I've been to this rodeo to many times. So I'm going to be peeing on everything from now until Friday.
QOTW: I like both. I make lots of things from scratch and I enjoy it, it's just cleaning up that I hate. My husbands favorite thing that I make is crawfish pies (I even make my own dough. I think some of my fav are debris, meatballs and spaghetti, gumbo, focaccia bread, chocolate dobach, and a mean cheescake. Thanks, I'm hungry now.
@jen102279 my DH did the same thing the first time. Drove me crazy. My pup watches me now. DH lost interest lol.
@HollowBerry that is an amazing doubling beta!! And no they have no clue. I guess if Friday is still negative then they will start to figure it out. I'm guessing it's because my body has been through hell. Idk.
@siempre595 I feel your pain. My DH did the same thing the first cycle. I had to have a talk with him. Sorry you are having this issue. Sometimes they just don't get it.

I'm 6dt5dt and honestly, not doing great. Estrace has seriously taken it's toll on my emotionally. I tested yesterday and today with clear negatives. I know it's still early, but it still weighs on you. Still have some ovarian/uterine sensations going on, so this is a better sign than IVF#1 but could also be because of higher doses and borderline early-onset OHSS. Beta is Friday and I'll probably continue to test until then. There's a good chance DH will be unavailable and working when we get the results, so I'd really like to be prepared either way if I have to deal with it alone.
QOTD: I used to love baking and be the Bakerella of my office, but then found out about my gluten/dairy/sugar sensitivity and had to change my diet. I still bake for DH or my coworkers sometimes or I do special recipes for myself, but it's definitely not something that's appetizing to everyone!
(what I made for work last Halloween)
@meld42 I can relate to the anxiety about "ruining things". I've done a ton of Mind-Body programs and while they're helpful, they also convince you that if you're not 100% positive and committed, you're doing harm. Try not to get stuck thinking about it. MIL sounds intense. Definitely not her place (and she needs a talking-to), but maybe somewhere down there motivated by love?

Thanks for saying that:) I agree! I have to remember it's ok to not be 100% positive and relaxed all the time! And definitely a talk motivated by love with the MIL! She means well, she just sometimes doesn't realize what she's doing:)
@Rcvb22 that's awesome to have 5 normal. That's basically the same % of normal that I had. We started out with 19, 10 made it to blast and only 3 normal. Good luck with your FET!!!
AFM - I will be triggering tonight with ER on Thursday. I have 6 follies between 19-22mm and 6 follies between 13-17mm. Waiting to hear about my E2 level, yesterday it was 1246. so I'm hoping my E2 level didn't jump too high. i'm nervous that 6 of them are so big at this point, but trying to relax. also very nervous for ER...the u/s tech said that for whatever reason, thin girls tend to really bloat up after the ER. sooo now i'm worried about that too!
I'm always trying to find an excuse to bake lol. I love baking cookies and cupcakes!
Congrats to the BFP's!! Fx for all that are PUPO!. Good Luck to every one!!!
AFM - I am PUPO! We did our transfer yesterday, and I feel really good! I went to acupuncture last night, which was very relaxing! Things are going great besides being extremely forgetful! I blame the meds! We do our first beta test on Friday, 9/26, which seems so far away! I probably will cheat at least the day before to be prepared.
QOTD - I love baking! I made yummy caramels, sugar cookies, and cheese cake.

@meld42, your DH needs to shut your MIL down. Even if she means well, she needs to understand that it's not okay to spill other people's secrets. And no, you didn't ruin anything
I'm 5dp5dt and feeling pretty negative today. At the moment, I feel like it didn't work.
Also, I'm fairly certain the ghost of Steve Jobs has been following me around, whacking my Apple devices out of my hands in an attempt to force me to upgrade. @Justone13 Sorry about the delay. Waiting sucks. Of course, you should stick around anyway! We will all be rooting for you even if you miss the official September window.
Congrats to those who just started stims! You are on your way!
@ky29 congrats! darker lines sounds like a reason to be optimistic
@pintobean39 I understand your hesitation, but it is still early. FX that line gets darker in the next few days.
@jzyla FX its too early for you too. Hang in there!
@rcvb22 I totally agree re PGS testing. I wish I had done it right from the start like you are doing (we ended up doing it on already frozen embryos). It is a lot to think about and may not be for everyone, but I'm so glad that we did it. @IFinTN 2 of my abnormals were high grades - it totally goes to show that its not always all about the grade.
GL to everyone else - especially those waiting for beta and ER/ET !
Congrats to the official BFPs
AFM - 2nd beta was 950 (up from 400). RE said no more betas and my first u/s will be on Monday 9/22. I'm going to continue to be incredibly nervous until we hear a heartbeat (or 2), which I know is not for a while.
QOTD: Neither for me! I like to clean. My husband enjoys cooking, so we have a good system going.

Yeah, I agree! I think if I say it, it'll be brushed off as hormones. So sorry about the ghost of Steve jobs! I remember last Xmas I bought a few stocking stuffers from restoration hardware (they have cool stocking stuffers!) and among them was this bag that dries out electronics. So happy for all the BFPs, PUPOs and good movement with everyone!
AFM- 4dp5dt and I'm trying not to think. I've been super nauseous and dry heaving everyday, which I attribute to the meds. I think DH got too close to a nerve Sunday with the PIO, so I was in miserable pain until last night. And the hot flashes today are intense.
I bought 3 frers this morning and will see how long I can hold out.
QOTD- love to bake and cook, as long as the recipes don't require 1,000 ingredient and take 3 hours.

AFM: I had my retrieval yesterday, and they had 2 mature, only one fertilized. We have a transfer set for tomorrow morning. QOTD: I have to cook every single day, and hate doing it now. but do enjoy occasional baking, when I want something.
I officially started stims yesterday so please add me to the stimming group . So far not too bad, first monitoring apt will be Friday. DH and I are starting to talk more about if we would transfer one or two (assuming we have the option) which is making it all real.

TTC since 08/2012
DX: DOR
My update sounds like I am echoing @ronniesgirl1981
and @Justone13 yes STAY!!
QOTD: I do all the cooking so I don't love it anymore, but I still love baking when I have time for it. Since the weather cooled I'm craving some pumpkin! So pumpkin muffins will prob be happening soon
BFP#1 07/01/2004 ~ EDD 03/10/2005 ~ D&C 8/1/2004 @ 5w5d

Congrats @ky29!!! FX for great betas!
@HollowBerry that's a great 2nd beta!

I'm still stimming. Had a monitoring apptmt this morning and am waiting to hear from my nurse. I'm hoping we're near the end and ready for an ER on Friday, which was the original estimated ER date.
QOTD: I love baking, especially cheesecake!
Me 30/DH 31 Married in June 2003. TTC since 2008. M/c in Nov. 2008. D/x: DOR and MFI 5 cycles of IUI in 2010. IVF #1 in Nov. 2011. ER 11/22. ET 11/25. BFN.
Good luck for all those going through stims, waiting for something or PUPO.
*** BFP warning***
*****Siggy Warning*****
@HollowBerry that is an amazing doubling beta!! And no they have no clue. I guess if Friday is still negative then they will start to figure it out. I'm guessing it's because my body has been through hell. Idk.
@ky29 CONGRATS!!! Can't wait for your beta!!
@siempre595 I feel your pain. My DH did the same thing the first cycle. I had to have a talk with him. Sorry you are having this issue. Sometimes they just don't get it.
Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .
Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October
Can I be added back in? I think I got removed somewhere along the way when I was on vacation. I'm back and ready to start stimming tomorrow. Can't wait to get this show on the road.
Hello Sweet Peas!

FX for those approaching ER/ET.
I officially started stims yesterday so please add me to the stimming group . So far not too bad, first monitoring apt will be Friday. DH and I are starting to talk more about if we would transfer one or two (assuming we have the option) which is making it all real.
QOTD- neither but I am better at baking
