Positive vibes appreciated (update in OP)

Hi ladies- we finally have our consult with the MFM tomorrow. We've done all sort of testing between our two losses without much result, so I'm not expecting any answers really, just hoping for a plan that helps gives us some sort of peace of mind as we get ready to try again. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ladies

Thank you ladies so much for your sweet words. Lengthy update but while there were no big AHA moments or anything (as we expected), she did recommend we do one additional genetic test that checks (Counsyl) for recessive gene disorders (cystic fibrosis and a bunch of others). I guess many people can be recessive carriers and have no issues but if DH and I were both recessive carriers of the same disease, it could affect our children. Test results for me will be back in about 2 weeks and then we can see if there is any need for DH to be tested. If we're both found to be a carrier for something, we might need to consider IVF with PGD, but we're doing the test more as another layer of information to have, not because they think there's a strong possibility that this is a cause for our losses.

So we'll meet with my OB on 10/10 to go over the next set of test results and talk about anything new but otherwise, we'll probably start trying again on our next cycle in October. We'll likely have weekly visits with the OB if I get pregnant again and maybe go for a few ultrasounds with the high risk OB since their machines are a bit more in depth. I'll be on a baby aspirin again as a precaution too. We'll see where we go from there. Thank you again for your thoughts- it was tough having to talk through our whole history again today, but it's so great to at least feel like we have a plan!
