Nexplanon Implant

Anyone have/had it? I'm scheduled to have mine inserted tomorrow morning, and made the mistake of googling. I'm now terrified...despite having a med free birth 8 weeks ago. Tell me it's not so bad, and that it didn't make you gain 20 pounds and give you horrible acne. Or I guess you could tell me your actual experience too.

I used to have Implanon.  The insertion was NBD at all.  Seriously.  The worst part was the numbing shots they gave me, and those were just like little stings, not bad at all.  After I was numb numb, it just felt like someone was poking me in the arm.  I felt a little bruised the next day or two but nothing bad at all.  Removal didn't hurt either, although it did feel kind of weird.  Google tells me the Nexplanon insertion is even easier than Implanon's was, so it hurts even less.  

Overall I was really happy with the Implanon.  It was great BC I never had to think about, and I completely stopped having a period on it, which was awesome.

I just had my Mirena put in this afternoon. Seriously, all I felt was the OB putting the speculum in. The rest was just a little pressure and bam it took maybe a total of 3 minutes for insertion. He said he best time for these types of BC are postpartum because everything is still kinda sore and numb so you don't really feel the pain. So happy to have Mirena again...

I had the implanon for 2 rounds (6 years) before LO and didn't gain any weight nor have a period. I had then explain on inserted after LO was born. There is nothing to worry about! The procedure was a piece of cake!
