Need Advice, first IVF/ICSI & on 2WW

SO, i have been browsing these boards for weeks now but can't find anything similar to our situation. I am on day 1 of my 2ww and I am not sure I can cope. I am 32 my DH is 45 and he had a reversal that didn't work. We tried IVF, but only my left ovary responded. 4 follicles, 4 mature eggs, 3 fertilized, 2 transferred day 3. The lab tech called them "textbook" and the Dr. called the "beautiful embryos" but to my untrained eye, one looks good and one looks a tiny bit fragmented. My AMH is only at .9 which was unexpected given why we were seeking help and my FSH was 9. Anyone with thoughts on our success rates? Thanks!!!

  • It's quality over quantity. If your embryos looked great, then you probably have just as good as odds as anyone else at your clinic. Unfortunately we can't really say what those odds are since it depends on a combination of your clinic, age, diagnosis, etc.

However even if your embryos are perfect looking, it doesn't mean the cycle will fail, many women get BFPs with lower quality embryos.  Also I have transferred top quality blasts from my clinic and still had cycles fail.  It's just a waiting game for you now.  Good Luck!
