QOTW: IKEA, love it or hate it and why.: Hate. I find so much of it is just so darn cheap and difficult to put together. I love many of their designs, just don't find the quality good enough.
Me: 32, DH: 33 DS #1: April 2010 DS #2: July 2015 (preemie born at 31 weeks) - our little miracle conceived through ART - unexplained secondary infertility/adenomyosis
hate. i saw something on the news last week about how their "perfect rooms" are digitally altered and unattainable. and that stuff is a B to put together. i like the prices though, but i would rather pay more and not waste hours of my life.
Cycle status: 7DPO in our last cycle TTA. I tend to have a short LP when I'm not on progesterone (and I'm not taking it now), so I'm expecting AF sometime this week. Then I call the RE to get the ball rolling for our first ever medicated + IUI cycle. After being benched for 5 months, due to D&C and bitch-ass retained tissue followed by surgery & hormone therapy, I CAN'T WAIT to burn the bench!
QOTW: I flipping love Ikea, as does my entire family. It's DH's personal hell.
eta: I love Ikea because I love organizing shit, and there are so many organizational supplies there. Pretty canisters, boxes, baskets... I'm salivating thinking about it. But on every trip there is at least one thing I buy that doesn't work out. And Ikea is 3 hours away from my house, so I never get around to returning it. So I just call the one regretted purchase I have every time my "Ikea tax." Happens without fail. Also, I'm a freak and I actually like putting stuff together. It's just how my brain works and I find it relaxing, but only if I'm putting something together on my own and DH doesn't come in and try to "help" (i.e., screw it up).
Status - still fricking waiting on work to return my messages to schedule surgery. This is getting ridiculous and I am about to start messaging every person I can find connected to the questions I have. I know all my benefits answers, I have a few certifications I need to complete this fall and can't work on them while on STD. Ugh.
Ikea - love it and hate it. I only go as soon as they open (well a few minutes before). There are less people in the way while you are planning your furniture configuration and the lines are shorter. Later in the day I want to pull out my hair.
Kid #1 - 09/03/12

CD beats the fuck outta me, cysts are still massive and showing no signs of leaving, starting provera today to try and convince AF to make an appearance and clear this shit out. Fun times!!
IKEA I used to love it and a lot of our condo is ikea, but I don't think we will be buying IKEA for the new house.
TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck
Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man. Born 12/2/11
TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended
Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good. Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.
CD 3- First IUI was a bust so gearing up for IUI # 2 with clomid and follistim.
I have really never shopped at IKEA. DH looked in to getting bookcases from there but then decided against it when he read reviews that they were impossible to assemble.

I had to post a run earlier, and I almost forgot to come back and answer my own Check-in!
Cycle status: Screw You! Oh, uh, I mean. I don't really know. I was doing Bravelle for TI, but I didn't respond. My darn ovaries are like, "Nope." So, I guess I'll just wait it out and see what happens. I don't have any clue at all what will happen this cycle or how long it will last. So, yeah.
QOTW: I don't mind IKEA. I think it's fun to go walk around. I like to use the toilets in the demo rooms and yell and ask someone to bring me toilet paper. Lol. J/K. But I do have a good amount of IKEA stuff in my house. Some stuff is over priced, some is a good deal. I enjoy the occasion stroll through their strange little city. I god a few good things today. Toddle plates and picture frame.

CD5 I guess. Surprisingly my period was crampless (out of character), just heavier than usual which was probably the result of the F'n CP. Beta scheduled for Wed to make sure it went negative before we discuss next cycle options.
IKEA is great if you do it right! Not all IKEA is created equal, but DD's crib was from there. $99 and rated one of the safest around, assembled and reassembled during a bi-state move and still sturdy as a rock. Low profile, modern just our style. $12 end tables, however, were great for my first place, but would collapse with little force. I lived in Chicago, with access to two IKEAs, for 7 years so I'm happy that one is getting built next year in our current city. Maybe I'll have a 2015 nursery to fill by then. A girl can dream.
Still on BCPs and still no official calendar for my FET I called the office last week and the nurse said FET would most likely be October 27th or 28th.
IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!! Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.

Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized. Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
IKEA- I wish we had one closer. I've only been a few times, but our living room has a large bookshelf/entertainment system that we pieced together from there. Also, my son's favorite stuffed animal came from there-- I bought a second one once I realized it was going to be so loved.

This is the longest cycle I've had since we started TTC #2. I had taken a HPT around CD 28, which was a BFN. Waited until today to test again, even though I haven't really felt any different... BFN again. I wasn't especially hopeful, but jeez, AF, let's get this show on the road! I have a thousand dollars worth of meds just sitting around waiting on you!
QOTW: I've never been to Ikea. The closest one is three hours away.
CD mother fucking ONE!!! FET cycle is on! We decided to transfer 1 embryo this time but I'm nervous about this decision and the whole thing being a bust. Then again loosing another twin would kill me, so 1 it is. I find out more about dates on Thursday when I I my CD3 bloods.
IKEA: I used to love it when I lived closer to one and was single decorating my apartment. Now, not so much. My taste has gotten more expensive so we are stuck with our furniture until we make more $ to afford what I want.
Update, finally CD 1 today. It only took two damn days to get going. Does that happen to anyone else. I'll spot from 2-4 days before I get my actual period. I've mentioned it to the RE but she doesnt seem too concerned about it but I don't think it's quite right.
Cycle Status: We are definitely moving and FAR for DH's new job. But we will have actually have health benefits no more private insurance YAY. Hoping this includes some kind of IVF coverage, IVF medicine coverage, IVF pretesting, PESA coverage, something????? Praying we can have our ODWU IVF #4 pretesting after we move, so maybe November????
QOTW: Ikea, good food, fun place to walk around, some fun toys for little ones. Our dining room table from there has lasted 7 years!

@Bananappeal145 I spot too- almost always 3 days but sometimes 4- before my period starts. It is so annoying. My RE also isn't concerned about it and says some women just have cycles like that.
