1. How far along are you now?
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
3. How are your symptoms?
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
Woops didn't see the GTKY:
1) 28 weeks
2) glucose testing this very minute. All other US have been good
3) symptoms are fine. Just tired and have no energy but it's hot as hell still so that is probably why.
4) dwarves. I'm deathly afraid of dwarves. It's sad because it's not their choice and I feel bad but I used to have a real phobia as a kid/teenager. Now I can handle myself better and not panic. It's my dad's fault! (And a long story)

Ooh, thanks for posting the labor buddies. Now I have new people to get to know.
Hi @Kristinerenee & @AbbeyP1982 !
1. How far along are you now?
27w6d. Almost out of rutabaga land.
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
I had my semiannual full body mole scan at the dermatologists office (everything looks good, although they probably wouldn't have removed anything today anyway because of the pregnancy), my regular OB appointment tomorrow, and my MFM appointment on Thursday for diabetes checkin and my 28 week growth scan.
3. How are your symptoms?
Sigh. My fasting numbers are staying like they have been. The MFM gave me a couple of weeks to try and get them down, but no luck. So, I'll most likely be starting meds this week. I had to go on glyburide with both girls, so this isn't out of left field or anything. It just means weekly nonstress tests and growth scans, so I'm not looking forward to the copays or the time in the doctor's office every week.
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
Big trees at night. When I was a kid I used to think they were alive and looking at me at night, and even now 30 years later, if I have to go outside to get something out of the car, I make a mad dash and don't make eye contact with any trees. Yeah, I'm a weirdo.

1. How far along are you now? 28W6D
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
Last weeks urine test came back and there was even less protein. Hopefully it will stay that way and my kidneys stay healthy for the remainder of the pregnancy.
3. How are your symptoms?
Pretty good, just a little tired. Lots of kicks! I love it but have been getting sore.
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
I am completely freaked out by people on stilts. I have no idea why, I just have an irrational get the F away feeling whenever I see one. Maybe I'm scared they are going to fall on me? Not sure, I can't think of any reason why they freak me out.
my read shelf:

1. How far along are you now? 25+4
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Nothing until early Oct for 28 week appt. and GD testing
3. How are your symptoms? Feeling great!
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc. I hate chinchillas! They totally gross me out!

1. How far along are you now?
25 weeks.
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
Passed my GTT last weeks and failed iron...boo. Also OB cleared me to walk 15 p/day. Did it a couple times but then temps got unnecessarily hot, so we'll see what this weeks holds.
3. How are your symptoms?
Nothing out of the ordinary. LO started kicking about belly button close to ribs.
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
@AuburnGirlSC omg I know exactly what you mean lol
I have developed an icky feeling with leftover food but that might be pregnancy induced lol
1. How far along are you now? Just about 25 weeks
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Had normal monthly with OB everything is good, measuring a week behind but he wasn't concerned. My Endo raised my synthroid again. Other than that no more apts until October. So a nice lull.
3. How are your symptoms? Baby kicking, the increased synthroid has given me energy again so that's nice to have.
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc. Um Clowns scare the ever living out of me. But that's about all that I can think of....

1. How far along are you now?
I have to keep looking at my ticker because I have stopped keeping track for my sanity. I just tell everyone 6 months. (Even though every day counts with IUGR!)
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
My labs came back ALL CLEAR! Wahoo! I have my GTT on Thursday, and my weekly u/s Wednesday with the MFM team and then my regular OB appt on Thursday as well.
3. How are your symptoms?
I'm having a good week, pregnancy wise. I have a list of 20+ questions to ask the MFM team but my body seems to be okay. Only 2 swelling episodes (comes on quick, passes semi-quickly).
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
I HATE butterflies and moths. Butterflies are pretty in pictures but in real life they are horrible beats who dive-bomb my head and freak me the eff out.
Roleanagrant – Looking forward to being labor buddies!
haleyusf - thanks for spearheading all this - you rock!!
25w 4d
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
I have a u/s Thursday morning. GD test in two weeks.
3. How are your symptoms?
My feet hurt!!!!
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
Clowns are a definite yes since I had a really scary dream involving clowns when I was a kid
@bluebird00 ugh that sounds awful
No appts this week, but last week cervix still measured okay and my Ob decided to send me back to the MFM because I was pushing back on their induction plan
and not many symptoms except for heartburn
I think Sponge Bob is scary lol

2. At my MFM appt last wed I had no measure able cervix, completely funneled and was dilated 1 cm. good news baby girl is ahead in growth and doing well. I was admitted to the hospital overnight for monitoring. Only had a few BH contractions and no cervical change. Went home Thursday back on bedrest. Will get my cervix checked this Thursday at my OBs then an appt with the MFM next week.
3. Feeling pretty uncomfortable this week with pelvic pain when I move, heartburn, etc.
4. Not anything I can think of.
1. How far along are you now?
27 weeks exactly!
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
No new appointments since last week. I am sending my blood sugars to the high risk doctor every Monday and they adjust my insulin as needed. As far as baby boy goes he is super healthy and moves and kicks ALL the time.
3. How are your symptoms?
My fasting levels have increased so we changed my insulin dosage again. I really am looking forward to not having to stick myself 4+ times a day!
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc.
Walking back downstairs after we have locked up and turned out the lights...I feel like something is watching me. Hah. I run back upstairs as soon as I grab whatever I needed.
Hey ladies! I finally made it back to actually participate in the checkin. Sorry so late.
1. How far along are you now? 27 weeks 2 days
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Nope. I meet with my endo tomorrow and I'll have bw done. I'm not anticipating anything bad, though. I've managed to maintain pretty good control and my A1C (long term blood glucose levels has been excellent)>
3. How are your symptoms? Getting a little harder to control every week but I'm managing.
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc. I'm definitely in the category of Clowns creep me out. Eeep. I blame my mom, she's always hated clowns. When I was growing up we had one of her old toys which was a tall clown doll with a soft body and plastic face. Unfortunately it's nose was gone so there was just a big hole in the plastic where it should have been. Talk about creepy.
D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
1. How far along are you now? 27w3d
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Had an ultrasound yesterday. The boy is still a boy! no more sex changes. AAAAnd his stomach has moved into his abdomen, so his omphalocele only contains his liver now! And he’s growing right on track. And since my cervix is behaving, my c-section will probably be scheduled at week 37 or 38, which is great! I have the one hour glucose test next week, but not too worried.
3. How are your symptoms? Not too bad. I’ve woken up cursing because of Charlie horses a few times.
4. GTKY: Do any seemingly normal things creep you out? i.e. clowns, dolls, etc. Not that I can think of… when I was a kid looking into mirrors in a dark room creeped me out.
Hi @NandaB and @AuburnGirlSC! We’re not positive if there’s anything genetic at play. I opted out of an amnio at the time b/c I was so overwhelmed with the “o” news and all other risk factors were low (minus the o). They’ll run tests after he’s born, so we’ll find out then. I also found a great FB group for omphalocele moms and that’s really helped. There’s lots of little toddlers (and adults!) out there that were born with o’s and are doing really well.
@NandaB I second on the staying away from google.
Is 30 considered “old"?
