We had a pretty good weekend, the weather was fantastic! It's going to get hot again this week but we had a glimpse of fall and I am so pumped!
On Saturday, Anna and I went with my mom to a festival and she went on her first big slide:
This week we have normal PT, OT, and aquatics and a checkup with neurosurg after her shunt revision last month. Last night Anna slept 11 hours so hopefully we can keep that up all week!
@Usm123 I'm so sorry about the bubble echo, that sounds awful. It is so hard to see our kids in pain and I have a hard time knowing when to "fight" the test. For example, every time we go to the ER, they want to do a catheter to check her urine for UTI. It is the worst procedure for her. From now on I'm insisting they don't do that until we get all of her CT and x-ray tests back because if it is her shunt, they won't need to test for UTI!
@Usm123 and @MaiTaiBeth I think she didn't really have enough time to process what was happening! She didn't laugh or cry, it was more like big eyes "what was that?!" She might have enjoyed it more a second time but we were out of tickets!
@MaiTaiBeth Anna averages about 10.5-11 hours a night. She goes down between 7:30 and 8 and wakes up between 6 and 6:30. For a while she was getting up at 5, but we've cut that down...for now! I'm worried for when we turn the clocks back though, because she has a really strong internal clock and 6am will become 5am!
Good luck at the clinic today! Let us know how it goes!
