dd get diaper rash alot I can check her every hour and she will still get it. Her poops are always like diarrhea (sorry if tmi) it is the same when she was a baby and breast feeding. Doctor does not seemed worried about it.
She got a rash on christmas day (well in the evening) we tried butt paste and aveeno they did not work so we thought it was from yeast sp? for that the doctor has us use hydrocortisone 1% and clotrimazole (antifungal) we switch them each diaper change and put butt paste over it. None of this has worked. Anything else we can try? we have tried other rash creams that you can babies r us and target but they dont work like the butt paste and aveeno.
Re: I need diaper rash help
DS used to get rashes a lot too, even small open wounds from them. There'd be nothing, then a huge diaper rash hours later with a small sore. We started using the Arbonne Herbal Diaper Rash Cream, which I really l like and seems to be doing the trick. I also make sure his but is really dry after I'm done cleaning with the wet wipes by drying lightly with a baby facecloth before the rash cream and diaper. A few times a day, I let him go diaperless on the change pad for a few minutes after cleaning his bum to let him get some air down there before putting on the cream and diaper. The Arbonne cream (which can be bought off their website) looks a bit expensive, but it's not super thick like a lot of the other creams, and a tube lasts a long time - even with frequent changing. GL!
DD had this awful diaper rash once I couldn't get to go away for anything. I tried all kinds of creams and such seperately but the only thing that worked was mixing vaseline and Balmex (put the vaseline on then coat with the cream). I still don't know what it was about it but it cleared up by the next day.
Poor thing. I hope it goes away soon & she stops getting them so frequently.
eta: Ditto letting her dry well before putting the creams and diaper on. I would pat A dry if I couldn't let her go w/out a diaper for a bit.
my kids hardly ever got diaper rashes...when DS got one he got it so bad he was bleeding (within an hour or so of no rash) The dr gave me a sample of Calmoseptin (sp) it isn't Rx but the pharmacies don't carry it...you have to order it through them. the rash was gone by the end of day...not better, GONE!
