z pack and ttc?

Hey ladies,

So after my first chemical pregnancy my ob said we can try again. Well I am sick and had to go to urgent care. The doctor gave me a z pack to take, and I forgot to ask him if there are any side effects to taking this while ttc? Has anyone taken z pack before? I heard it has some bad side effects in general. What has been your experience?

I've taken it many times & never had any bad side effects. I don't know what it's effect (if any) is on TTC, but it can't hurt to ask your doc or pharmacist.

I was told not to take Z-pack if you're pregnant.

Thanks, I am going to ask the pharmacy when I go to pick it up. I heard about the sudden death it can cause and it freaked me out!

I am not currently pregnant our first was a cp but my ob said we can start trying. I'm just wondering if I do conceive, if it can affect the pregnancy. It so scary because I just had my first cp a few weeks ago and I'm super antsy about everything!

Talk to the pharmacist when you pick up the prescription.  If you're only taking it for a week, and it's not at the very end of your cycle, I don't see how it could do anything.


I will ask, thank you for your advice. I should start ovulation between the 16-21, I only use a calculator.

I think you mis understood. by other boards I meant other discussions on this forum. I have been nothing but respectful. No need to get defensive.

Sorry for using the wrong word, my other boards I meant other people's topics in this specific forum. It did feel a bit defensive though.
