Help: Writing on felt?

I am making a quiet book for my niece but the book needs some words in it. What do I use to write on felt?

Do you think puff paint would turn out okay?

I have used glitter glue & puff paint, but peeling off is an issue for.long term. Can you sew the stuff on, or believe have seen iron on transfer paper that people put through the ink jet printer.

Would also womder about fabric paint that you iron the backside to set it?

Iron on letter will peel off pretty quickly if it's ever washed because of the hairiness of felt.

Am glad others have more experience with the iron transfer stuff

Use puff paint with the writing tip or try iron on letters.

I put my son's name and stuff in his quiet book. I cut the letters out of other felt and then hot glue gunned them on.
