Help with fit of pockets

DS is 9 weeks old and weighs 11 lbs. 13 oz. I put my Alva OS pockets on him on a whom the other day to see if they'd fit. They seemed to, so I've been using them during the day for most of this week, and using prefolds at night.

Yesterday, I had two pockets leak from the leg holes. Have I just been lucky the rest of this week with no leaks? Do I need to wait longer to put them on him until he plumps up more?

Do you have the rise all the way snapped up? What's that open snap in the middle?

@TJ1979‌ whoops, the open snap on the middle is supposed to be snapped like the two on the ends. It's snapped down to the smallest setting. Still new at this.

@TJ1979‌ do you think that unsnapped snap could have caused the leg to be too big and therefore the leak? Or am I doing something else wrong?

I dunno. Possibly. I've never used alvas. I thought most OS started to fit around 10 lbs. so I would think you shoul e able to make it work. Was the insert saturated? Did it leak bc it was just soaked?

@TJ1979‌ with one of them the insert was saturated. With the other one, it was not. I'm using charcoal bamboo.

Make sure you are puttin them on like this to get the best fit on the legs.
