So we are totally not ready for #2. That being said, I missed a pill last week, and had some spotting today. I also just DTD with DH. Afterwards my brain was all "omg am I ovulating??? What if I just got knocked up?" That's right folks. I just had my first post partum pregnancy scare. Let me tell you, it takes it to a WHOLE new level when there's a shrieking infant on the baby monitor as you frantically google "missed pill ovulation". Eta: I totally blame the latest outlander episode. If I did get KU I may need to name this one Jamie.
I'm not trying, however I am currently waiting on a "late" AF. We are so not ready for baby number two so hopefully my cycles are sill working themselves out and one of you lovely ladies whoa re trying will get your BFP soon.
@smhorak The love tit is in solidarity. I'm late and nauseated. Not really ready for another and weren't really planning on one. Too soon! I hope to pass the bfp vibes to another J14'er.
OB advised we wait a year to begin trying and we hope to do so. I had too many issues with the BC I was on so I came off it. Tracking and withdrawal worked for years for us so hopefully we will no get KU before a year. I had a C-section and am not eligible for VBAC so want to ensure I am fully healed. I do miss being pregnant though. I think I may have lost my mind?
@danielle4348 DH and I are contemplating trying for 2 under 2... which would mean trying next spring/summer... We are both a little scared that we will be overwhelmed with a baby and a 2 year old! Would love to hear more about your experiences! You can PM me if you don't want to chat about it here. Is it ever just TOO crazy with them that close in age?
We are hoping for babes 2 years apart, so another June 2016?? I like the idea of two years apart; also cheaper for maternity and baby clothes in terms of season. On top of that, we might want 3 and are already in our mid 30s. Need to get moving to have 2 more!!
DH wants to discuss it when LO turns 2, I think having number 2 around that time sounds better. We will see where we are in another year to 18 months and reevaluate. We want a house and for me to either be done with school and able to go to work or to have a graduation date set before #2 is born.
I think DH would faint if I approached him about #2 right now. I think he really struggles during the baby stage, but will be more open once she's older and more independent. We are only planning on having two, and ideally I'd like us to be TTC when DD is somewhere between 12 and 18 months.
@katekat8721 am I nuts for wanting to start trying as soon as our finances are settled???
Ps I am very concerned I may already be again... I've had 2 periods since they were born, and this month I have missed it... And I did miss a couple of pills. Very nervous lmao

Pee on all the sticks!! And then report back to me!
We're aiming for trying again after January, so that would put us having a baby hopefully towards the end of '15/beginning of '16. DH's work schedule doesn't really allow for planning though and it took us awhile to get a sticky so we'll see how well planning works. We do want to have at least 3 kids (DH wants 4) while we still have insurance through the military, so that's gotta be done before he retires.
DH keeps joking that he wants me to be KU right now ("we make such cute kids"), but I'm so tired with the one I don't even know how I'd handle the tiredness that comes with pregnancy.
@tdmrs oh, did you mean like your abs actually went back together? My midwife checked that at 6 weeks so I forgot. That completely makes sense. I thought you meant like you needed to be rockin a six pack before you got KU again. Which would be silly (to me).
@MommyWaldron it's between deliveries, so that would be TTC in like 5-6 months. Also, my recommendation was based on my wanting to VBAC. I would just ask your doc
@taymiller - nope. After my last experience, I am more than happy to just go in for a scheduled surgery next time.
It does make me a little... Sad (?) that I won't experience a vaginal delivery, but I definitely got to experience labor and I'm ok with not doing that again.
@lest12 - I didn't experience labor and I am ok with that . I think I just had a really good experience with the scheduled c/s the first time so why not do it again.

@taymiller - I totally get it! If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I also don't remember not being able to hold the baby. We did skin-to-skin on the way out of the OR. I was pretty drugged up though, I wonder if handing me the baby was the safest?

Another bonus of the planned c/s, you aren't all drugged up, just can't feel your legs
@taymiller I'm also excited because I think it will help control visitors... If nothing else I can say we're scheduled for noon even though we are scheduled for 9 am... Silver linings, right?
@elsa1688 - that makes sense. We want two so that isn't an issue for us. I don't think I could handle more than two and I am getting old so more would be difficult.
@elsa1688 - that is why I am hoping for a VBAC next time around as well. It sucks bc VBACs are not offered where I live and I will need to travel, but I think that is something I will be willing to do when the time comes. I hate that VBACs can be perceived as more risky than a repeat CS and so many hospitals are no longer doing them. As long as I am aware of all the risks of both a repeat CS and a VBAC, how can I not have the choice on how I want to birth my own baby?I don't want a doctor to be able to tell me how many babies I can/can't have because my only option locally is to have a reapeat CS!!

Quinn works for either sex!

Kudos to you ladies who are/are trying though!
J14 Jan Siggy Challenge: Santorini
I was told to wait until my stomach comes back.
What does that even mean?

The main reason I want a vbac is because I want lots of babies and multiple c/s could limit that. Otherwise, I'd totally schedule it again
I got to experience labor and made it all the way to pushing before S got stuck. It was pretty cool but not cool enough to go through again haha.
