Babysitting Question

Does anyone use a babysitter not a daycare for child care? I would be using a family friend for babysitting once I return to work. I'm curious to know a reasonable rate. If there are no taxes taken out should the rate be the same a daycare provider? Just curious what others think. Pls message me if uncomfortable putting info here. Thanks!
