Baby Names

middle name?

Marley jo for a middle name ? Boy and girl as i am still team green. SO and I are huge faithful Bob marley fans as is my familly. I figured in tribute i would name baby with marley. Jo is passed along to first baby so jo is a must. We are in love with the names, just wondering what people may think and if anyone else has names babes in tribute to someone. I always think middle names should be special and mean something .

Re: middle name?

  • I think it's fine.

It's not my particualr style-- but the names sound nice together.  There's actually a reg here with an adorable DD named Marley, for the same reason you are choosing the name.

It would sound like a boy to me if I didn't see it spelled. Marley is not really my style, maybe because I'm but really familiar with it. Jo is a family mn for girls in my family too! :-)

  • Yes it will be used for both boy or girl.
  • So the name would be Firstname Marley Jo Lastname?

I get wanting to pass on Jo as a tradition and I get that you're Bob Marley fans but I think it's an either/or situation  I think it sounds weird as a double MN for either sex.
