This weekend DW and I are participating in early AM crossfit challenges and we also have plans to attend our first South Bay Pride here in San Diego.  We have never gone to any of the smaller Prides and are looking forward to it.  We are trying to stay as busy as possible to get through this TWW!!

I hope everyone is setup to have an amazing weekend!

Wife is on vacation!!!!! Which means I am on vacation from being solo mom most of the time. The only plan we have for the weekend itself is a walk with a good friend we haven't seen recently. But I'm excited for some rest, help and family time.

Tomorrow's agenda is Target, grocery store, cleaning, cooking...

Sunday my mother-in-law is coming over and we are going out to lunch and walking around this outdoor shopping area nearby that is really cute. We are going to check out Baby Gap and a few other shops for some Fall clothes. The weather is supposed to be really nice, so I am excited! There may also be froyo involved, and I LOVE froyo and haven't had any since before Will was born. Yum!

ILs are in town this weekend. We are spending a good bit of it playing tourist, but need to mix in a trip to the music store to rent a violin for Gray (he just decided he wanted to do it) and the grocery store so I can pack lunches next week.

We're finishing up around our rental, getting the upstairs professionally cleaned and installing two cabinet hinges. Then we'll have a whole day to spend in Sonoma County before meeting our new tenants at 4pm to exchange keys and do the walk-through.

I think we'll head to Armstrong woods (redwood forest), and maybe back out the beach or to a few playgrounds and maybe see if any of our friends are around to meet Owen.

Sunday we're packing and I'm heading to our sister-in-laws "Mother Blessing" aka Baby Shower. I still need to find a gift and a poem/quote to share. EV will stay home with the kids.

Only hiccup could be Kaden getting sick - I'm waiting to see how he does today.  If he's sick it looks like Owen and I will be taking two loooooong car trips up North and coming home in between or hanging out by ourselves for 8 hours.  FX its just a runny nose from teething....

I'm going shopping tomorrow! My birthday is in a couple weeks and I'm in desperate need of new work clothes. This will be an early birthday gift from my mom and Z. Planning to hit up the Ann Taylor and J Crew factory stores and maybe a couple others. Woohoo!

Hopefully Sunday will be a nice family day with some grocery shopping and cooking thrown in. Thankfully our housekeeper comes today, which will keep our cleaning to a minimum.

J's friend is moving to our city so she, and possibly her 3 yo son, is coming up tonight and staying with us for the weekend while she looks for a place to live and childcare. I was looking forward to a mellow weekend, but it will be nice to hang out with them. We told the friend we would help with her kiddo on evenings and weekends so it'll be nice to meet him too and have him get to know us. 

Saturday we are going to the farmer's market to pick up our CSA and maybe some other stuff. I'd like to make some freezer jam. There is a street festival in our neighborhood so it would be fun to go to that as well. 

Sunday we are going to our friend's house to watch some football and hang out. Their LO is 5 weeks old and we haven't seen them for a few weeks. I bet she is almost as big as M now, since he's such a little guy. 

Other than that, we need to clean, do meal planning, go grocery shopping, take the dogs out, etc. (all the boring things that we wish we never had to do)

It is pack city in our house this weekend. I have a TON of work to do today but it is my birthday observed (since last weekend was all wedding all the time). We had a dr appointment today (everything is great), now it's work work work and then tonight it's dinner date night and movies on the couch!!! So excited!!!

Tomorrow we have a meeting with our doula but mostly packing!

It's good to have a weekend at home!!!

I'll still be here in the hospital so more of the same.  I seriously had to ask one of the nurses what day of the week it was today.  Sigh.

I'm going to dinner tonight with a bunch of girls from work (which is shocking because I'm totally antisocial)

Tomorrow we'll probably do some shopping. We need groceries and a few odds and ends. Plus I'm going to be talking J into buying some new jeans because I'm done with her doing a load of laundry every single night to wash her jeans and then leaving the rest of the clean laundry for me to put away! And then tomorrow night we're going over to my parent's house to watch football.

Sunday we'll prob going somewhere to watch a football game. (The team we follow never gets played on our local stations so we typically have to go to a bar that has one of the NFL packages to watch our team) And that's about it I think!

We are putting in the new floor in our mudroom this weekend. No one seems to want to help, so it's looking like it will be just the two of us. I'm hoping we can finish it all tomorrow, but that is probably wishful thinking. We need to empty out the big stuff, remove the old linoleum (easy because it was never glued/nailed down), see what we are going to do with the soft spots and then lay the new floor. Our plan at the moment is to cover the existing floor with plastic, lay down the new flooring and then the new linoleum tiles. I'm hoping it goes smoothly and that we are 100% finished by the end of the weekend.

No big plans really. My next-door neighbor, who is due with a girl in a month, has her baby shower Sat. at 4 pm. Is that a weird time for a shower or what?? And, it's like 30 minutes away...I have not taken S that far in a car yet... So, I'm debating attending. Since she's not had her shots yet (2 months) I've also avoided closed in events per our pediatrician. I did get her gift all ready before S was born! 10 points for 2Mamaz!

I was planning on going to"After baby yoga" today but its at roughly the same time as J's boxing class . I'm bummed as this particular is only offered once a week (whereas boxing is at a boxing gym and she can go everyday if she wants). So we'll be negotiating this in the future.. I will go to mom & baby yoga on Tuesday!

Sunday we're going to hang out with one of our favorite couples from our childbirth education class. Her baby was born 5 days after S, but she had a somewhat traumatic birth. Slow to progress, lots of intervention, ending w an ER c-section. And she's had some complications w recovery. She was so excited when I asked if we could come over as she's feeling isolated. Anyhow looking forward to that. Also considering a walk around Greenlake on Sunday...but not 100% sure my stitches are ready for it after the last walk...
