What am I doing wrong? One of his pillowcases has a huge hole at the seam and the flat sheet seam has come apart along almost an entire side. I only wash them every 10 days or so, and once he is up for the day I make the bed and he doesn't touch it again.

In regards to sheets, surprisingly the super soft jersey ones from BRU have held up great for DS, they will stay when we convert to the toddler bed.  Frankly I don't see myself spending a ton for sheets as I suspect that when he gets to the point that he is into something (whatever character that may be) he'll want character sheets.  I remember my brother and I having all kinds as a kid so I guess I'll be doing the same some day.

we tried to limit presents this year for DD's birthday, but we went way overboard. we have no room and should not be spending money, but there you go. i don't even feel bad about it.

i took my kid in to daycare today with a cough. i'm 75% sure it's just from her being snotty (which she has been, without illness, for weeks), but that 25% of me that isn't sure thinks i'm a douche. cause you see the kind of important work i'm getting done today that necessitates her being in daycare.

We have to switch pediatric dentists due to insurance. I finally called and made the new appointment and the girl told me all the forms were online and it would save time to fill them out ahead of time. The appointment isn't until mid October, yet I felt the need to spend the last half hour filling out all the forms. Like I don't have other things I should be doing.

If I didn't do right away I'd forget until we were leaving for the appointment.

I paid more for crib sheets but I see that as decor for the room. You can't see the sheets on James' bed. I don't even have a flat sheet on his bed right now.

Yeah, so I thought my period was starting 2 days ago, but instead it's just been some brownish spotting. I stopped bleeding a few weeks ago, and now all that's going through my head is "oh shit, this had better not be implantation bleeding." My vag recovered remarkably well, even after cauterizing the stitch that pulled out. We were able to have completely pain free sex at 5.5w (I was already cleared).
I'm scheduled to have nexplanon inserted Tuesday. I refuse to test until they test me prior to putting it in. Our plan was to be done with two. Oh boy. Come on AF.

I put my kids in short sleeves and shorts for family photos in 47 degree weather this morning. I really really wanted to wear the outfits I planned and DS1 wanted to wear shorts. So we tried it. Then, 10 minutes after we started I had to change everyone into jeans. We even took a few pictures of Brody in a random hooded sweatshirt because he was cold. I should have planned a better back up option but we really just ended up with the wrong day. It was 80 earlier this week and will be back to the 70s next week.

I know the pictures will still be great, but I'm irrationally disappointed by the weather. Next year we are picking either august or October and then I can be more confident if we need to do summer or fall outfits.

@kelbel527, I understand the photo dilemma.  I had my family take pictures last August in 110 degree weather (at 6pm).  This year we planned them for a month later (this Saturday) but it is scheduled to be 104 that evening so I begrudgingly rescheduled.

@Holly_1007‌ fingers crossed for your interview. Your boys will do great at daycare. Just a warning that Boo is prone to meltdowns once we get home from daycare. I think she holds in all of her emotions all day and it just doesn't take much to set her off once we're home. She's doing better since she's been back for a few weeks, though. Also, she still usually takes 2 naps at home and only 1 at daycare, but she's handling that okay too. We just have a pretty early bedtime. They will adjust and have tons of fun!

Aww @melsax we have all been there. Take care of yourself and the rest will fall into place. Is that cliche? I always feel like I am able to be a better... when I out myself first, because as women and mothers, we rarely do that. Hugs.

This is so not flame-able. I loved Shady as much as I could love a pet, but man that animal pissed me off on a weekly basis. It is so hard when they are sick because you know why they are acting out, but you can't necessarily do anything to make them stop. So, so frustrating.
