My Lo has bad diarrhea

I called his pediatrician and he said to feed him only pedialyte but only half of what he normally eats so I am wondering how I am going to feed him at night? He's going to be hungry when I only can feed him like 3oz of pedialyte. Any advise? Thank you ladies
