Updated toy survey

I have a late May baby, so I always appreciate the little glimpses into the future that you ladies with early May babies can provide.   What toys are the older babies loving these days?    My guy seems to be bored with his play mat lately.   We broke out the musical play gym that he can sit in and he seems to like it ok, but I don't think he's quite at the point where he can fully enjoy it yet.

We have the kick and play piano also and she loves it- we take the arch part off and lay it out in front of her and she goes crazy trying to get the toys. When she kicks the piano part and it makes music she gets all excited!

She also loves the play and learn dog and just a bunch of rattles and teething rings. One of the teething rings is part rattle- she loves that one the best she puts it up her arm all the time.

Anything she can fit in her mouth! Crinkly books are a big hit right now bc they A.Fit in the mouth and B. Makes lots of noises. We use the bumbo a lot and she still loves her play gym and infant to toddler rocker.

She will play with this for hours when I connect it to her bouncer chair

Anything he can easily put in his mouth. I got this circle with a mirror and teethers and he loves it because he can easily hold it. He loves his Sophie but it is hard for him to put in his mouth

I saw something like this at Target and I really want it for her- but I'm afraid the dog will steal the balls maybe I could leave it at my moms house.

DS he is loving his kick and play piano (we just got the piano part and not the rest of the mat), he also loves these teething blankets that Bright Starts makes, found them at Target for about $5 each. They make the crinkle sound and he loves to chew on them. He loves anything with lights or music.

DD is liking the jumper, she alternates between looking at the lights and chewing on the seat. Also loves her Oball rattle and lovies.

Can anyone rec good bath toys? I keep looking at ones but then wonder if they will mold. It's probably a bit early, but DH thinks it's sad she doesn't have any.

Crinkly book is a huge hit here as well as the o balls rattle and without! He also adores this alligator toy that rattles and has a wooden teething ring he's all about it! Bumbo is fun too and he likes tummy time. Going to have DH throw together his exersaucer this weekend bc he has good head control now we also got a jolly jumper hand me down but I'm still not totally comfortable putting him in that yet. Also random things like blankets are awesome he wants to chew them and loves when I play peek a boo with them

The jolly jumper is his absolute favourite ... I barely get the harness on before he's bouncing like crazy.

He likes his winkel, skwish, Sophie and chewing on his shirt.

This isn't a toy but he loves being outside. We can sit outside for an hour just watching and he's happy. Or going for walks.

For those of you that put LO down on a blanket to play, do you put them on their backs or tummy? If they are on their backs do they lay there with a toy?

@Emmagk‌ yes. When he lays to play on his back I hand him a toy, teether or rattle. He normally throws it after a little but and I give him another one.

I hadn't heard of it either, so after so many mentions here, I googled it.  Turns out, we have one!  I just didn't know what it was called.  It was a hand me down.

Skwish hands down. It sold itself. I put it in front of her and she grabbed it and pulled it straight to her mouth. First time she ever did it. SOLD

Because of this thread I now have a huge Amazon wishlist of toys for LO. (Not to send to others for gift requests, just for my own personal reference.) Manhattan Toy, the company that makes the Skwish toy, makes a lot of other neat looking toys, too! I want all the toys and LO probably couldn't care less right now.

We went to Barnes & Noble today for my birthday and I got sooo excited about all of the cool toys they have there for baby girl. It's going to be hard not to spoil her.

Her current favorites are her Lamaze Giraffe and her oball and especially her talking Daniel Tiger. She laughs every time the show is on and she recognized the doll as soon as I showed it to her so i had to get it. She laughs at it all the time.

@ns1 I got it at target. They also have Katarina kitty cat.
