As I'm stretching to the side to touch my toes on the right I had an extremely sharp stabbing pain. Didn't feel like the twinges and cramping that I have been having. I bounced back and realized I could no longer do that move and another. Would you be concerned? My US is next week but this has me worried. When I went home I still felt some of that same pain, but nothing occurred until I did that stretch. They say to carry on with exercise as usual with maybe toning it down a bit Sooo I'm worried it is too early for baby to be restricting me like this. I know my name says nurse but I am an ortho/surgical/pediatric nurse
Re: A new pain with Exercise?
The sharp pain is from stretching a muscle that is inflamed. Go into that stretch more slowly but don't discontinue it because stretching and activating it will increase blood flow and help to reduce the inflammation. Of course if it continues and is severe you should bring it up at your appointment.
