Play Tables

We have a sunny window in which I was thinking of putting a play table for the kids (as of January, they will be 6, 4, 2 and newborn). It would be a space for art projects, snacks, puzzles, tea parties, etc. However, I'm starting to think it would be better to get a full-size table so we could all eat there occasionally and it would be more comfortable for adults as well.

DH says they can just use the kitchen table and forget ANY play table, but I still really like the idea of having one in that sunny space and having it be separate from the kitchen table. I can see the kitchen being messy when it's time for homework, and/or them wanting to leave a puzzle or project out for awhile.

Thoughts? Opinions? If you have play table and LOVE it, tell me which one and why!

Re: Play Tables

  • We have an ikea kids table. Also I just bought 4 lack tables (ikea) don't know why I bought 4... But regardless. I am going to use those as little play tables also. For building legos, puzzles, etc. They were 4.99 last month instead of 15... So 4 was necessary.

  • I have a little ikea table that we do art & projects at. I like having a place set aside for the kids. Just as a side note it's going to be hard to find a kids size table that is comfortable for you to sit at.
