bleeding while on stims?

Is this normal? nor normal? or don't know?
I'm on day 6 of stims (menopur/gonalF), have completed 5 days of injections.  Today my E2 had gone up from 84 to 235 so while it's a bit low I was happy with the rise.  Then I came home and am now having bright red blood when wiping. I had a 2 day period after coming off birth control (oddly short for me, but I hadn't been on birth control in years).  I stopped bleeding altogether for several days, then this started today.  ARGH.

Re: bleeding while on stims?

  • I had some bleeding and the nurse said it was normal. You are doing a lot to your hormones during this process. I would tell your nurse at your next visit, but don't worry too much

Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).

  • I think the only worry is if you bleed a lot and shed your lining since it's supposed to be building up during this time. I don't have personal experience with this, but it sounds like a small amount of bright red blood and/or spotting is probably not too concerning. So many hormones forcing our bodies to do things! Hope everything turns out ok.
