Welcome to "Hanging On To a Dream!" This group is designed as a check-in for those that are not currently part of a monthly IVF cycling group but would like some camaraderie while waiting to cycle for any reason. Please join us if your monthly cycling group has not started and tell us how you are doing. Please also let us know if you are (1) waiting for 1st cycle; (2) in between cycles; or (3) on hold for whatever reason. Please also tell us what your next plans are (IVF with ICSI, FET, WTF appt. etc.) and what month you hope to cycle.
QOTW: What is your current earworm, that song that is stuck on permanent replay in your brain?
Hi everyone! Sorry. I kind of joined this check-in and then fell off the face of the Bump planet for a couple of weeks. The beginning of the school year has been kicking my ass.
**Loss briefly mentioned**
Since my last check-in a lot has happened (for being on the bench)! My hcg dropped below 5 from my ectopic so I was able to restart PNVs. We also had our IVF consult. We're going to be doing an antagonist protocol, and we can start in November! Baseline is actually October 31st. I'm really relieved that we'll be able to get a cycle in before Christmas! Also, my IVF "class" is tomorrow!

Betas: 9dp5dt 205, 11dp5dt 497, 14dp5dt 1,709
u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat
Hi everyone! I would like to join your group if that is okay? Well, I did my first IVF w/ICSI and got a BFN on August 8th. I have 3 embryos that are frozen. I will be doing another fresh cycle, and that will probably be not until January. I am taking this break to lose a little weight and get my body ready for IVF #2.
Hi ladies! I had my CD3 bloodwork today and if all looks good, I'll be back on BCPs while I'm in St Lucia for our 3rd anniversary trip next week and I start Lupron the day after we get back. I'm excited and nervous! I'll move on to the October check in once it is up and running. Since I'll be away next week, this is probably my last check in here. We are doing a freeze all banking program though so I'm sure I'll be here again in between my retrievals and FET cycle.
Thank you ladies for all the support and for keeping my sane while I was waiting for my betas to drop. I'm so grateful for this awesome community of knowledgeable caring ladies!
DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA
October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
AFM we had our follow up with Dr. KK and have a great plan (adding prednisone, baby aspirin, and lovenox to our next IVF cycle. We also had our karyotypes come back (both normal) and DH's SCSA wich the RE said was good to excellent (I might ask for the actual results, just because I am curious). I had my hysteroscopy yesterday and the "spot" on my saline ultrasound turned out to be one big polyp and several smaller polyps. The RE thinks that the big polyp may have been folded over against the side of my uterus by the saline which is why it wasn't easy to see on the u/s. She was really happy that we got this taken care of. With all of our testing back and my hysteroscopy done, this also means that I am ready to cycle. I will start bcp next week and should make my clinic's November cycle.
In financial news I finally go ahold of the financial lady at Dr. KK's financial lady and she is resubmitting my claims with additional diagnosis codes. There is no guarantee that any of it will be covered, but at least it is worth a shot.
QOTD: The other day I heard S&M by Rhiana on the radio and had it stuck in my head of hours.

Hi ladies. I'm on an iPad so I will make this short since the formatting will be all screwy. AF arrived on Tuesday, about 6 weeks after my miscarriage. Never thought I would be excited about AF! Unfortunately, I missed the October window, so I am looking at a Nov 5 FET. Guess I'll be hanging out with this group a little longer. ;-)
QOTD: no song in my head at the moment, but recently it has been All Bout that Base more often than not.

@AngM123 I have the same song stuck in my head these days, too! I have this love/hate thing with T Swift... find her as a person annoying as well as the fact that her music has only evolved to become more "poppy" but it's so freaking catchy! That and DH is just a dork and when it comes on he dances all crazy and stupid to it, LOL. AFM, still waiting for AF due next week. If she's late by too many days, it could screw up my window of opportunity to cycle in October and I'll be super depressed. Come on AF, be punctual this time!

So, one more update for me this week. We are having a great time with the foster kittens, but the experience is, unfortunately, tinged with saddness now. We lost the momma cat this week to illness and/or comlications from her spay procedure. Kittens are doing well, though, all eating well and romping around the house like furry little idiots. Our two big male cats have taken over care of the kittens now that their momma is gone -- playing with them, cleaning them and cuddling with them. Oddly enough, our big female cat will have nothing to do with them -- the boys are far more maternal.
Now we just get to wait and see if the kittens develop any symptoms like their momma had. If the vet is right about what killed her, there is a chance the kittens will come down with it in the next few weeks. If I'm right, it was complications from her spay procedure and kittens are in no danger. Only time will tell. Until then, we enjoy every moment of kitten fun and hope for the best.

Hi everyone- this is my first check in here. I am currently on BCP prepping for my first ER in Oct. I won't have a FET until December since we are doing PGS. Thank you @princessisadora for thinking of me and remembering about my big race! It was such a rewarding experience!!
My Update: Our hopeful egg donor got her period and went in to repeat her baseline testing last week!! So far, so good! We're just waiting on her AMH to come back, and as long as that looks good then we should have a match. We should be able to make a final decision by the end of the week.
2 weeks to go until our follow up with Dr. KK! She will go over all our results and make a suggestion for a Tx plan. I met with my RE last week to fill him in, and he said that he'd help us out with some of the treatments (like baby aspirin, heparin, prednisone), but if we need IVIg then we'd have to get that elsewhere. I'm hoping that we don't need it!
QOTW: I ALWAYS have music going through my head. As an elementary band director, it is sometimes not something that the rest of the world would appreciate. I have spent many miles out on a run with the same 8 measures of a beginner band etude going through my head on loop! HAHA!
I'm new to this group! I just got my BC pills to start my first IVF cycle when my next cycle starts.... I am not a normal person right now, one day I'm super excited to have a plan and possibly get pregnant, the next day I'm nervous and freaking out. I don't know exactly what meds I'm doing or any of that yet. All of my paperwork says two options and that I'll know after my next cycle starts. I do know that I'm getting a combo of injection and suppository progesterone because my husband travels so much for work. On days he's home, I get the needle, other days suppository.
I should be finishing my first round of IVF around Thanksgiving if all goes well.
Hi there, I'm new as well. Currently on hold till next year due to life in general. We're moving into our new home & work schedule being crazy. It's also a much needed break from all the stress and dissapointment that sometimes comes with IF treatments. But am looking forward to next year where I'll hopefully be recharged and able to grab the bull by it's horns once again.

tptbabe- so glad you have a plan in place. Makes the wait easier.
Jetta83306 - exciting news! Dec/Jan is just a blink away!
CallaLily30 That's great you figured out the whole BCP situation. Hope you have a great trip to St Lucia. When are you moving on to the Oct Acorns?
@Carol77B Hope everything pans out and you can still be on tract for IVF #4
@zeynsom - Sorry to hear about the BW results but hopefully working with Dr.KK you will get all that sorted and a plan in place.
AFM, nothing really new. I am still working on my diet and exercise. I want to lose 20 more pounds before I cycle again, be it another IUI or IVF
