Did you do anything to help them along? Payton was pulling up right when she could crawl. So about 3 months. We practiced walking between DH and I a few times a week. We'd make a big deal out of each step and she thrives on praise.

Even later on, we'd mix with water and add fruit purees. I BF'd part time and FF'd part time when we first started cereal.

I'm using Head n Shoulders on him. Thankfully he has a ton of hair so it covers it. I also use a comb to get some of it out every time I was his hair.

1) Now that holidays are over anything you will change for next year? Not really, just ready to get back to a routine.
2)If you have/want more than one child, what is your ideal age difference between them? We would like our children to be between 2-3 years. If we have more than 2, we are thinking at least 3-4 years between #2 and #3.
3)What's one baby item you will spend more on to get the name brand? I really like name brand baby clothes, most of DS's clothes are Gap and Gymboree.
4)Any tips for babies that wont take a bottle and wanting to get away for a few hours? overnight? Are they old enough for a sippy cup? That might work.
5)How much does your 9-12 month old eat at each meal? At that age, Finn ate VERY little. I was worried, but around 13-14 months, he really increased the amount that he was eating.

Crappy diapers are such a headache, I'd rather pay more for ones that don't leak, and we've found we're picky about wipes - they need to be the right size and have the right moisture. All this huff over something that goes on her butt.

2)If you have/want more than one child, what is your ideal age difference between them? We will start to try for #2 in summer 2010. So about 2.5 years apart or so? That's our current plan but we also planned to wait until summer 2009 to try for #1. See how well that plan went?

She still takes a bottle about 3x a week and whenever we leave her with my parents. We never had any trouble getting her to take one. Maybe start to BF and once DC seems relaxed try a bottle for the rest of the feeding? I'm not much help, sorry.

I had this problem! I had to try out different nipples and had my sister or someone else try to give her a bottle while I was in another room. Worked pretty quickly once we found the right nipple for her. Now she will take any bottle even with me there.

5)How much does your 9-12 month old eat at each meal? Not much!! DS STILL eats only stage 2 baby foods. He won't touch it if it's chunky! I can usually get him to eat a fruit w/cereal for breakfast, veggie & fruit for lunch and maybe a veggie for dinner. He's so picky and loves his bottles!

1) Now that holidays are over anything you will change for next year? ONE and only one gift for DS. Our house looks like a damn day care for 8 kids not just the home of one. Yikes - I mean one from each person not one total. I'm not that grinchy!
2)If you have/want more than one child, what is your ideal age difference between them? I want 4 years but will probably shoot to try with 3 years apart.

4)Any tips for babies that wont take a bottle and wanting to get away for a few hours? overnight? Depends on how old but try a sippy cup or even a regular cup or rice cereal with breastmilk
5)How much does your 9-12 month old eat at each meal? I think this was mine. I was sort of worried about it last week because he went to bed and was clearly hungry but sorted it out. He eats at least 2 of those Gerber Organic containers at each meal plus a little of this and that in finger type foods.
6)Did DC get any Christmas presents that you absolutly hate? What will you do about it? Yes, returned the clothes for things I like. Just kept a few to take pictures and then will return. One particular toy bugs me but DS likes it so it stays for now.

Did you do anything to help them along? DS started this in earnest around 8 months. He's 10 months and holds onto a hand to walk.
8)What did you do about cradle cap? Anything to make it heal faster? When did DC hair start growing back in? I used the little plastic scrubby brush Evergreen sent us home with. I think the California Baby Shampoo works well for this. DS never had it really bad though.

We washed his hair more often and brushed it, but we also picked at the larger chunks that were about to fall off. His hair was funky for about 3 weeks, and now it's all grown back in and he's a fuzzball.

She didn't get anything I absolutely hate, but my BIL did get her the Parents drum thing that has a bunch of instruments inside. It's for 18+ months, and I don't really feel comfortable with her playing with it now, so we'll put it away for a little while. SIL got her a baby doll. It makes me mad cuz I wanted to get her her first doll, but we'll keep that too.

During that time, I would go out after I put her down for bed around 6-7 so that she would sleep while I was out. I finally found that she would take the Adiri nurser. I've never left her overnight though.

8)What did you do about cradle cap? Anything to make it heal faster? When did DC hair start growing back in? DD had this for a few weeks. I tried olive oil at first but it didn't work for us. Per our pedi, we used a dandruff shampoo 1-2 times a week for 3 weeks and that cured the problem. She did lose quite a bit of hair which is just starting to come back about 2 months later. Luckily there are no bald spots because she had a really thick head of hair to begin with but it has thinned quite a bit.

1) Now that holidays are over anything you will change for next year? We will be home for Christmas next year, so just about everything will be different then this one.
2)If you have/want more than one child, what is your ideal age difference between them? Currently there is 11 years between DS and DD. It's like having a foot in two different worlds. We are planning on TTC next September.
