TTC AGAIN CHECK IN 9/10

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. 

A check-in will be posted every week. Please reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC. 

 

Once you get pregnant please post about your first and second beta then move over to the pregnancy check in.

Jessylane8- 9/2-4dpo. Starting progesterone tonight.

 

Racheyt0227- 8/27 I have a tentative FET date of Oct 5th! I started BCP & will start Estrace once I am off BCP. 

MrsAmyDylan-8/27 We are heading out of town mid September. I'm thinking I should call and make an appointment with the RE for after we return. 

TTC, with treatments

 

Chiwifey-9/2 Meds are ordered and I start priming with my next cycle (about 2 weeks). Tentative ER set for 10/28. 

Efhoping2010-9/2 No real update hoping to pretest for IVF/ICSI #4 ODWU in the next month or so.

 

emwaiting – 6/18We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own.  Praying for that little miracle to happen.  You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha  I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own.  If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period.  Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating.  We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again!  
fullfhope – 6/4 - I have my follow up with RE on 6/12.

itsmevkb -8/20- We did the transfer last Monday of our one little frosty and everything went smoothly.  Yesterday I tested and got a positive.  I'm literally shaking typing that out.  I'm scared.  Scared of something going wrong, scared of having a crappy beta on Wednesday, scared of where in the world we're fitting another baby into our house, scared of just everything both good and bad.  

JBDamonm-8/12 Had my appointment yesterday. It went really well. I left feeling optimistic and less overwhelmed about things. I did my infectious disease panel yesterday and am going to call on cycle day 1 to set up saline sono. Assuming that goes ok, I can jump right in if I want. But as of right now in leaning towards starting on the following cycle, but I seem to be changing my mind with the direction of the wind on this one. Not going to think about it for a few weeks! 

 

Julie21613-9/2 Just waiting for AF to arrive then will start BCP... which feels so weird to me!

 

KDR19179-7/16 I haven't been on the bump in awhile because I have been busy with the twins and work, but we are in the process of going back for our single frozen embryo. We don't tell many people IRL when we are going through IVF cycles, so I would love to talk about it somewhere! CD day 1 was July 10, I saw the RE on Monday. I'm taking estradiol 2mg 3x daily. I go back on 7/21 for an ultrasound and blood draw. The embryo transfer is scheduled for 7/28. We only have 1 embryo left and it has about a 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy. I love swimming, but don't get to do it much. I never thought I would want a pool until we had kids. If we had a pool, I think I would swim every day in the Summer!

 

mg0202 -9/2 FET was today.  Transferred a grade 1 AB blast with a 95-100% thaw rate.  Beta is Sept 15.  No POAS for us, beta or bust.

 

mnj05 – 9/2 I started gonal-f last night; much higher dosage than last time so it'll be interesting to see how many eggs we get. Tentative ER scheduled for the 10. QOTW: I am such a huge sweet tooth! One of my favorites is cinnamon bun, Ben and Jerry's. I love almost anything chocolate though.

 

MoFree –9/2 IVF #2 is in progress. Honestly it's difficult with a demanding early morning job, a husband who travels and an active toddler. I'm really fatigued and feel like I'm dragging through the day and I still have a week to go. Assuming all goes well, ER is September 11 or 12. Since I'm doing PGD and embryos that 'pass' will be frozen and I'll do a FET in November.

 

Pam MG – 8/27 Doctors appointment was very disappointing and walked out crying wondering if we would ever get another child for the first time. He was all over the place but we are going to do testing on the next batch of embryos next time due to the previous IVF where we had 7 great ranking eggs and only 1 took. Class is next week and plan to cycle October/November.

trigirl79 – 9/2 On BCP which are totally making me miserable - hungry, sore boobs, and spotting. Sigh. Then we got a call from my RE today that we could move up our appt...to tomorrow. When I have no childcare and DH is traveling.  

So, the wait continues!

STL34-9/2 We had great timing last cycle.  But, AF still showed.  I am now CD9 on the next cycle.  I had my second opinion RE appointment last Friday.  This RE is willing to do the immune treatments that helped when TTC #1.  But, they do batched cycles and I am hesitant to move forward with her alternative to BCPs or high estrogen doses to make my body cycle in the batch.  Add on to it that we are pretty broke from our two previous IVF cycles and I'm not sure when/if we can move forward.  When my husband is back in town from his work trip, we will have to discuss it.

 

Second opinion appointment is August 29!!  I'm hoping things go well with this RE!!

 

Phishgirl29- 9/2 TTC on our own.  FET begins next period.  We timed ourselves well but I have no faith in that method.  

Bellalou – 6/18 Aiming for a fresh cycle on the house in October.

 

Kaf7-9/2 Just back after 9 hours of travelling to and from our new RE. They didn't review our charts before we arrived and asked me for the Coles notes version. Doc thinks I should've been on long agonist protocol instead of 2 attempts at antagonist. Would recommend that ASAP as no one knows when I will hit menopause. Hadn't heard of gnrh pump and will send DH to a urologist...which honestly seems like a step backwards. She didn't have faith that we would get a pump or sperm again before my eggs are done for good. Doing IVF with this clinic is tempting for a chance at #2 but would cost us about $10K and I would have to take 3 weeks off of work since the clinic is 5h away...which means a significant loss of income when I still have to pay my secretary and office expenses during that time. Doc also suggested we try "Caliconcep.tions" because adoption is "impossible". We went in feeling happy with our current situation and hopeful, and after I think we both felt dejected. I am sort of wishing I hadn't made the appointment. Not sure what we will do next. Likely see what urologist says. And see if we can get our old clinic to comment on chances with long agonist protocol.....I don't know that I want to be back in this game.

QOTW: flip flops or Toms it's a tie because they are comfy and easy to slip on and off.

No real update hoping to pretest for IVF/ICSI #4 ODWU maybe in October?  DH is interviewing for a new position out in the rockies this week so we may be moving.

I had an appointment this afternoon and got some good news! He counted 22 follicles, measured most of then being between 16-19 so I trigger tonight and retrieval is Friday morning. We won't do a fresh transfer because my progesterone level is too high so that will be another 2-3 weeks.

QOTW: flip flops, specifically yellow box although they do turn my feet black.

AF should arrive next week some time....then we will be starting IVF w/ICSI (6th fresh cycle).

No question.... flip flops..... LL Bean's.  Love love love them.  So sad the flip flop season is coming to an end.  :-(

AF should begin within the week (though we did TTC on our own this cycle I'm not hopeful) then it's on to our FET. Getting hopeful!!

QOTW: reef flip flops. My feet love them and I have terribly wide feet which are extremely hard to find shoes for. Either that it my Clark's shoes for work!

No real update. Consult with RE to move forward scheduled for 9/18, we could have gone last week as there was an opening but DH was out of town.

QOTW: flip flops...no question. i seriously rarely wear anything else in the summer, unless i'm running

I had my saline sono and have been cleared for an FET. Decided to wait until next cycle since I've had a lot going on, I don't think I could emotionally handle it right now........hopefully we are a le to move forward with my next one!

Got our calendar to start IVF with testing in November! Just hanging out until then praying for a miracle so I can get my money back.

QOTW: sketcher black slip on tennis shoes because they are easy to get on and they are completely black so ppl don't tend to look at my foot wear very closely

I should move to the TTC with Treatments category.

I just took my last BCP. Baseline on Mon & if all good, I start Estrace that day as well. FET is now Oct 4th.

I've been on a break, I am trying to catch up with all I missed and was excited to see some good news on this board in the past few months!

We have our ET tomorrow! This is most likely our last cycle, I have high hopes.

ETA: rainbow flip flops all summer, but wedges for work (I'm vain and like the height)

Update for me: I had my retrieval this morning. They got 17 eggs and I'll get the call tomorrow about maturity and fertilization.
