This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently pregnant.

 

If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include you EDD and how many beans you have cooking.

 

Checkin is every Tuesday, feel free to post updates all week.

 

Q: What are you planning LO to be for Halloween? If you don’t celebrate favorite fall drink?

 

BabyKsMommy - EDD 12.3.14- 8/19 25 weeks today. I had a regular appt on Monday and both babies had good heart rates. I have a growth scan tomo which I am excited about as DH will be coming. He hasn't seen the babies since 16 wks. I'm on 2 wk appts now which is great because I'm super nervou about ptl.

 

Blueberries8-9/2-Currently 7w4d with twins. I continue to have on/off bleeding from the SCH. I had another ultrasound on Wednesday and the SCH is measuring slightly bigger. I had a RE appointment on Thursday and my RE is shocked that I got pregnant with twins from this cycle and he is very concerned about the possibility of a very preterm birth due to my history and the current bleeding (also had chronic bleeding in my previous twin pregnancy which eventually resulted in premature rupture of membranes, likely due to the blood wearing down the amniotic sac). He even mentioned the possibility of reduction, not because he is recommending it per se but because he wanted it to be on my radar screen.

 

ccam - EDD 11.29.14 – 9/2-I'm 27w4d today.  I think I'm in the 3rd tri or at least close to it!  Hard to believe this LO will be here in less than 3 months.  I'm starting to put some thought into the nursery and I just went through newborn clothes to see what we have / need.  It's getting real!! 

 

 

Ducky719 -9/2-13w3d and excited to be almost out of first tri! Had my OB appt today which was fast and simple. I put on 1.5lbs so far and my OB said this is ok as long as i am eating and making good choices. Check and check! 

Itsmevkb-8/26- Ladies, I'm pregnant.  My first beta is tomorrow so I have my fingers crossed.  Yes, I know the actual number doesn't matter, it's the doubling, and honestly, I know even doubling doesn't guarantee anything but you know, baby steps and I need little things to focus on rather than big picture things like holy cr*p I am going to have five kids!

I just got the results from my first beta.  At 14dpo it is 110 which is good.  I won't have another thought now for a week which might actually help my anxiety instead of hurt since sometimes too much information is not a good thing for me!

 

Jenny935-9/2-As far as this baby goes, I'm 13w3d today (Friday.) I outed myself to extended family and work last weekend after an uneventful NT scan. I'm having super exhaustion issues with the 2nd trimester, but I think that's because I went back to school just before it started!

Kdfecarie, EDD 8/29/14 (CS 8/22/14) 7/22 sorry its been a while life is crazy here right now, and i dont see it letting up till maybe november! 35 weeks now, and baby will be here in 26 days! I cant believe its so soon!!! Been rough with contractions and sickness making a return... Only a few more weeks!

 

KDR1919- EDD 4/16/15-8/12 I'm very early, 5 weeks tomorrow. EDD 4/16/15. My ultrasound is scheduled for 8/25. I'm still taking estradiol and progesterone 3 x daily. I don't feel pregnant and this doesn't seem real yet! It is hard to believe that it took 12 embryos over 5 transfers to get my twins and this pregnancy is from 1 single frozen embryo?!?

 

KMC84-EDD4/11/15-9/2-8w3d today. I am so unbelievably tired  I feel generally lousy all the time, which is kind of depressing.... I'm really hoping I pull out of this funk in a few weeks! OB appointment is 9/15.

 

LuvBoston, EDD 3/9/15- 9/2-I am 13 weeks 4 days and had an us Tuesday I have two SCH which I evidently had after I fell in July but they forgot to put them in the report. They have gotten bigger. The big question is why my MFM never mentioned them. Her head is on the chopping block I am so pissed.how could you miss them on a level 3 ultrasound.

 

 

mdiblasi10 –EDD 1/30/15- 8/26 I'm 18w4d today and feeling great! I'm so excited to see her at our anatomy scan on Thursday. I have been feeling her move, but in the last few days the movements have been getting stronger. I am loving it!!!! 

 

Mayzie15- EDD 2/01/15- 9/2-I'm a little over 18 weeks today and feeling pretty good. My anatomy scan is on the 15th and I'm looking forward to seeing my little guy. Most people in our circle know that we are having another baby. Most people are excited but some that don't know our struggle with IF and IVF have been asking if this was an opps - which is extremely frustrating! 

 

Mnerani – 9/2-Headed to 36 weeks this weekend! I have just started to feel big, slow, and tired- the lovely end of third tri. Our shipment from Kenya is going to be delivered to our house on Saturday (!) which is the last big, move-related "to do" before the baby arrives. Once we get all of that stuff moved in, I know I'm going to be like "OK, baby- time to meet your family!"

 

Pennylane26 -Boy EDD 11.26.14 –9/2-Holy Heartburn! I'm so over it! 27 weeks and feeling good otherwise, but starting to get big and uncomfortable, getting hard to snuggle DD which is sad! We do lots of side hugs.  Have an appointment tomorrow with my OB so will see how my BP is and also do a second 1 hour glucose test (had my first at 13 weeks and passed, hopefully the same goes for this one!!). I also have an u/s with my MFM next week, can't wait to see my little man bouncing around!

 

Rella22-9/2-We are 5 weeks and 2 days...with an EDD of May 5th!  I still don't really "feel" pregnant yet!  I'm hoping that is normal and okay!  We go in for our first u/s appt. with our RE on Sept. 18th!

 

srveatch –9/2- I am definitely going to get a prescription when I have my next appointment. The Pepcid just isn't cutting it anymore. I will be 27 weeks on Thursday. My next appointment is next Wednesday, I am peaking my glucose test then as well. I am going straight to the three hour test since I had GD last time. I also have an MFM growth scan. I hope baby brother is growing bug in there and it's nit just me getting big 

Robeano-EDD 2/3/15- 9/2 18 weeks ago today! Just over a week until we find out what we're having. Feeling tired but I think a large part has to do with chasing a toddler around all day.

19 weeks here. Almost halfway, how the heck did that happen?! Tomorrow is anatomy scan. Will update later. In the last week I finally started getting my energy back. It is wonderful being able to do things again.

QOTW: I don't know what Hannah is going to be this year. I do have a friend who said last year we could use her Amelia Earhart costume. But I don't know

Totally finding out!! I can't wait!! I'm hoping for a girl, but if not, gonna be asking for some serious advice if it's a boy!

Update: m/s seems to have passed and I'm feeling more like myself, thank goodness!!!! Still tired and hungry

QOTW: not sure yet.....must start thinking about that!

And because it's so yummy, I'll answer both questions- hot apple cider!!!!

28 wks today! Only 10 more to go. No appointments this week but I have 2 next week. Babies have been doing fine and my stomach is pretty big. Strangers have no problem asking me when I'm due or what I'm having.

QOTW: no idea what ds will be for Halloween. It's pretty close to when the babies will be here so I'm not really sure how that's going to work out.

I'll be 20 weeks on Friday, so half way soon. I mentioned in another post how emotional I've been thinking about this being the last time I get to experience a pregnancy. Very bittersweet. I'm feeling great physically and off the Zofran completely now. I've hit the point where I am so hungry all the time and I just eat and eat and eat. Thankfully baby girl likes lots of healthy things and I'm staying active. 

QOTW: I bought G's costume early to make sure it fit. He is going to be a dragon! I figure it's the last year I can pick something cute since he will want to pick next year.

Update: Failed my 1 hour GTT but passed my 3 hour!! Woo hoo! I had GD with DD so I am sooo happy to avoid it this time! I celebrated by eating so.many.pancakes! Have an u/s tomorrow with my MFM, can't wait to see my little man! I've never had an u/s this late in the game, I'm sure it's going to be shocking to see how developed he is!

QOTW: G is going to be a pumpkin, she is OBSESSED with them and points them out everywhere we go. I'll also say my favorite fall drink is the apple cider from Starbucks - yum!

Update:  I'm 28w4d today!  I finally went for a my glucose test last week and passed the 1 hour!  I failed the 1 hour with DS so I was nervous I'd be in the same boat but I actually had much better numbers for whatever reason.  I think this LO has had a major growth spurt lately, although I'm measuring on track.  I feel like my belly is huge and I am seeing it move all day long.  DH wasn't even paying attention to my belly last night as we watched tv on the couch and it moved so much that he caught it out of the corner of his eye!  I wonder if there is another 10 pounder in there!

QOTW:  Not definite on what DS will be for Halloween, but I'm thinking maybe a pirate or skeleton.  My favorite drink is anything pumpkin - D&D pumpkin iced coffee right now.

19 weeks and it's going by well. I'm in a major funk lately. I question everything - did we have this baby to close to my first son? Will I love this baby as much as my first son? Anyone else have these questions? Or is it just me?

QOTW DS is going to be a dinosaur! Last year he was so tiny he was in a sleeper - can't wait to see it on him!

@mayzie15 Every time I pay for daycare I think "What were we thinking? How will we pay for daycare times two!?" So you're not the only one!

I'm 14w1d today and feeling super tired but other than that I'm ok. I have a checkup tomorrow and I think I've gained serious weight, but we'll find out. I haven't been eating that much differently than I normally do, so maybe I'm wrong. Or maybe each boob weighs 10 pounds.

QOTW: I have a costume that is a bee - black fleece pants, black and yellow fleece top that zips with wings and hood/antenna ... can a boy be a bee? I googled and found pictures of boy bees, but DH says that's a terrible boy idea. (I pointed out that scientifically most bees ARE boys)

Update: 28 weeks tomorrow. Three hour glucose test came back normal with the second hour slightly elevated. They said to just watch my diet and that I don't need to do finger pricks, yay!!!! I had GD with DD so I am very excited!!! I start NSTs weekly and growth scans biweekly due to LO having one artery in his cord instead of two. I got to see him in 3D today though, it was kind of awesome! QOTW: A is going to be a little aerobics workout instructor from the eighties...

@Ducky719‌ I'm so glad I'm not the only one that questions my situation. I'm happy my little guy will have a sibling and I'm almost 39 so time isn't on my side fertility wise.

@Jenny935‌ I hear you on the costs side. My insurance plan switched to a deductible plan this year - the deductible for this baby is out of control . On a side note love the idea of a bee costume - really cute!

@LeahB12‌ thank you for responding! You always have good insight and I'm very thankful for your responses I feel like I'm in unchartered territory and it's nice to find someone who's been where I've been - thank you again!

@Mayzie15 I totally can relate to how you feel.  Even just this pregnancy has been so much different!  With DS, we were so engrossed in cycling and in my pregnancy.  But with this one, we have so much going on that there are times I almost forget that I'm pregnant!  I feel like this 2nd child is already getting shafted!  I know once this LO gets here, it will be much different, but for now I'm just worried about how DS will react and how his routine will be messed up at first.  Deep down inside, I know he'll be fine and he won't even know the difference in a few months... at least I hope so!

@Mayzie15‌ just 2 months ago I was feeling the exact same way you are now. I couldn't fathom loving another baby as much as my DS and I was so freaked out about what his reaction would be when the baby arrived. All the questions you're having are totally normal and don't make you a bad mom or person.

When DD was born my DS was a little nervous about it, I'm not gonna lie. But he is 3 and more aware of things. Two things that "broke the ice" in the hospital were... We brought a gift for him from The baby, and he thought seeing her first poopy diaper was hilarious! From then on he had no problem with her and never once asked me to put her down like he had said to me many times before with his baby cousin.

As far as loving another baby just as much.... I feel like those thoughts melt away as soon as the baby enters your Arms for the first time. It'll feel just like it did with #1!

@Mayzie15‌ I'm right there with you! I wonder if I can really love baby #2 as much as A. I have burst into tears thinking about what A might think when bring a new baby home..... It breaks my heart to think that she might feel pushed aside.

I know it will all work out, but sometimes I wonder if it was the right thing to do. And now I feel bad for typing that out! Ugg!

My pediatrician made a comment that because my son is so little - he won't ever remember a time without a sibling. It really struck a nerve with me.

@ccam I feel the exact same way you described. I really worry he will feel pushed out by a new baby. I think it will be a balancing act for awhile but like you I hope we will all adjust he will love his baby brother.

@Cwhitaker27‌ your response brought me to tears in a good way. Thank you for responding and explaining your situation and how things will change overtime.

@kmc84‌ I understand how you are feeling. We struggled so long to have my son and the perception is that this pregnancy came easy. Only you ladies and close family know the beta hell I went through this time. I worry that family won't want this baby as badly as they did with my first son. Please don't feel bad I think it's just the emotions of IF that has an impact on us. Sending you hugs . And just know your not the only one with these feelings.

So we had our anatomy scan today and we are team pink!!!!!

Baby looked awesome, she was wiggling all over the place the ultrasound tech had a hard time getting some of the measurements lol. So glad everything looks so good. So excited to be having another little girl!!

I have been chasing down my MFM for 8 days, finally got an appt yesterday where she acted like I should be thankful she finally found time for me since she hasn't seen her own 7 yr old. I almost punched her, if you choose to be a doctor in a big practice what do you expect but to be busy? If she had just called me or my OB back I would never have been taken off blood thinners and then had to have an u/s of my leg because they thought there was a clot. Rar!

Anyhow I don't have SCH's I have Venus lakes. (Why can't I ever just be normal). She said the lakes are fine for now as long as they eventually go away. So I am back on blood thinners! Baby looked great measuring ahead. I had another MC attack yesterday so might have to go back up on my dose of prednisone. Basically I will deliver by the time I am able to get off it, I also saw the endocrinologist and have to start taking my blood sugar because I have had a few episodes of almost passing out. I hope its low because I don't need to add GD to my list.

LO is going to be mike from monsters university my sister is sully. Thank goodness for aunts I get out of dealing with costumes!
