Well, I found out at 6 weeks so I wasn't showing or eating more or anything. I did have a feeling I was having twins but that's because I was having ferlility treatments and I knew that two follicles we're ready to release eggs. Plus, twins run in my family on top of that.
transferred two embryos and still was suprised at our sonogram at 7 weeks to see two heartbeats...

I found out via ultrasound at 6w2d / 6w4d, and the only suspicion I had was because I'd been using OKPs and had a LH surge that lasted a whole three days, which did make me cautiously curious whether that could signal release of more than one egg - but if I hadn't been checking my LH surges and if I hadn't had so many ultrasounds and so much medical intervention, I wouldn't have "felt" anything making me think there was more than one until I was well into my second trimester and feeling legs in two different places. "Just knowing" is nonsense, imo.

The night before we went for our first U/S at 8 weeks, DH said, "What if it's twins?" My response was, "There's no way, that's not even possible." Twins don't run in my family and I was surprised enough that we were pregnant already, as we had gotten pregnant on the honeymoon!
Finding out that early, I wasn't having any pregnancy symptoms other than being extremely tired and embryos are so small there isn't really anything to "show"
Totally shocked. Doesn't run in the family & we weren't doing any kind of treatments. BUT I did notice that I was showing very soon which I just figured it was because this was my 2nd pregnancy. There were signs too...I just happened to read this book that had been sitting in my library for years & it was about a woman who gave birth to twins. Then I flipped on the TV, (which I never watch), and it was a movie about a woman pregnant with twins. Really weird!
We transferred 2 embryos so we knew it was a possibility. My second beta went through the roof so DH and I were debating whether we'd see 1 or 2 at the u/s. My RE is the one who said we may have 2 at that second beta... I was shocked to see 2 sticking though bc these embryos were the 15th and 16th embryos we transferred over the course of 8 transfers. Truly a miracle both stuck as they weren't graded highly at all.

Knew it was a distinct possibility but still shocked to find out at 6 weeks. HCG numbers were VERY high and they transferred two embryos. Still shocked My pregnancy is much different than my singleton pregnancy but not until much later than that.
Complete surprise. I only had one lead follicle at 24mm when I triggered, the smaller one was only 10mm, so we were pretty much positive that if that cycle worked we would only have a singleton. They are measuring the same, so I don't know if there was a hidden follicle or what, but here we are =]

Had no clue as they were spontaneous twins discovered at 17 weeks. There were some (possible) clues after the fact. I had morning sickness and I didn't with my DS or DD. I also was showing much earlier but I thought it was because it was my third pregnancy. All of my symptoms seemed much stronger this time around but who knows.
I was shocked. We did fertility treatment. However our one embryo spilt and we have identical girls. They are 5 months now and I am still shocked daily that I have twins.
Completely shocked. I was kinda shocked to be pg at all, honestly.
We had sex one single time that cycle, about 3-4 days before O (I did OPKs, so that's about right). I didn't think we had a chance at all and turns out, spontaneous fraternal twins.
Twins do not run in my family and we weren't on fertility treatments, but I said from day one that they were twins. I got a very clear BFP 8 days before my period was due, already had loose ligaments that made it painful to sneeze, and my breasts were completely off limits. By last week (when twins were confirmed at around 8 weeks), I was feeling bloated and just nauseated all the time. When they told us there were two, the tech laughed because I turned to my husband and said, "I told you so!"
After we found out it was twins, a lot of weird things sure made more sense: I felt like I was walking in quicksand even though I had run a marathon the month before I got pregnant. I was showing so early and everyone said it was just bloat but it was really crazy. ETA our first US showed only one baby, so we didn't know it was twins for a while.
I was so hungry and Id joke about having twins because usually I'm dealing with morning sickness and eating is a chore. I was still sick (more sick) but I ate a lot more. Had no idea I was actually having twins though until my ultrasound.
I had a very strong feeling it would be twins. For several reasons that really mean nothing.
1) We did a FET cycle, when the embryologist came to talk to us she said the embryos were perfect, no cell loss, looked like they had never been frozen, and were already doubling. I just "knew" both were going to stick.
2) After transfer I did not have any bleeding like I did with our fresh cycle, which was also two embryos but we had a vanishing twin with that pregnancy and gave birth to a singleton.
3) My pregnancy symptoms came on fast and very strong. Which really is not uncommon in second pregnancies.
By the time we had our 7w U/s I was convinced it was going to be twins so it did not shock me to see them. DH on the other hand lost it and kind of hyperventilated a bit.
We joked that we were going to have twins because our RE kept talking about how we would NOT have twins with what we were doing and such. And then we kept joking about it because the morning I went to my ultrasound my DH was making eggs and got a double yolk. But in reality we were actually very surprised .... at that early I wasn't any hungrier or anything.
