Hello all, I'm three months along and the hubby and I have been working on baby names sense the very beginning. In terms of boy names we are still at a loss but for a girl we've found an option we both love. We want the middle name to be Rae after my mother in law who passed away about five years ago. Unfortunately I think my mother feels left out because she keeps insisting we name the baby after her. Her name is Alicia. I don't hate the name but I don't want to call it out for the rest of my life. Recently I thought of maybe joining the two names into one to make everyone happy. Does anyone have a suggestion for a mash up of Alicia and Rae?

My husband likes the way Alicia Rae sounds also but I LOVE the name we've chosen. We are only using Rae as the middle name because my husband wants to honor his mother. When I was pregnant with my son before she passes away the name wasn't even an option. I'm trying to hold my ground but my mom is like recruiting from my family to back her up.

I also answered in your other thread. But it's up to you and your H to decide on a name for your child. Your mom doesn't get to push you into a name that you don't love. Stand your ground on the name you've chosen and love.
