Exclusively pumping question

How do you mommas who exclusively pump increase your supply? I'm trying to figure out why I'm not producing more. I have been pumping every two hours and not seeing any increase in supply... I'm starting to wonder if I just have a low supply. I have tried bf but my baby will not latch enough. Feeling defeated. I want to provide for my baby but if she isn't getting enough what do I do? I have tried fenugreek, mothers milk tea, lactation bread...no changes. Thanks in advance.

It takes a few days. Try increasing time per pump too. I EP and pump seven times a day for 15 minutes each session. Are you pumping at least 15 minutes?

  • How many days pp are you? I'm three weeks pp and have seen a big increase in the last week. I was pumping every 2-3 hours but now it's more like 3 sometimes 4 hours.
  • My lo is 11 days old. I'm pumping every 2-3 hrs for 15 min. I read that if the pump shields are too small that can affect how much milk you can pull. I'm wondering how much truth there is to that.
  • I'm only getting 1.5 oz a time. If that helps at all.
  • That's about how much I was getting at 11 days pp. I was worried too but it was gradual increase and now up to 4-6 oz each session.
  • I lay a heating pad across my chest for a couple minutes before and during pumping. Showers don't do it for me, but the pad helps. I first started doing it to help clear up a clogged duct, but I've found it to be helpful with let down. Some people have taken their therapearls from Lansinoh and instead of chilling them, they warm them up.
