5 weeks pregnant - questions

I'm sure this has been asked many times, but for peace of mind - I've been having period like cramps for almost 2 weeks now.  I saw my midwife last week who confirmed that I am pregnant.  I am now having just a little bit of lightly pink mucus discharge.  I'm sure this is normal, right?  At what point should I be concerned?

It can be normal and it may not be. Best to get in touch with your MW.

I will say I spotted with my last 3 girls off and on and had cramps. But haven't with this one. So like I said...it can be normal or it may not be. Keep us posted.

Like PP said it can be normal and it can't so best to seek advice from your doctor or MW. With my first no spotting, with this one I spotted at the very beginning for about a month and a half because I had some issues. Best to get it checked out just to be on the safe side. Ditto to PPs. A mild cramping feeling is totally normal, your ute is getting used to not being empty. Spotting isn't unusual in first tri. I spotted with DD1. Best to call your MW so she can make sure there's not a problem though.

I have spotted with this pregnancy. I did not with my other 3. The one day it was quite a bit and red. Scared the crap out of me! The Drs. nurse did not seem too worried. I did do a lot of lifting that day, so I do think that had something to do with it. My mother told me that she did not even know she was pregnant with my one bother till her 4th month. Because she was still having a period or well she thought she was.
