Cloth Diapering

Antibiotics, Probiotics, and yeast rash.

For my c-section they gave me antibiotics a couple hours before my surgery. (Makes sense, not sure why I didn't think about it) I had my husband bring our probiotics the next day and I started taking them, hoping Anders wouldn't end up with yeast, if it is related.

Logan had a horrible yeast rash just a few days after birth and I'm wondering if it's because of the antibiotics I was on before he was born?

Now Anders has a yeast rash :(

Will the cream hurt his diapers? It's not super thick.

Do I need to wash Logan's diapers seperate from Anders'? (If I don't want to bleach Logan's every wash.)

  • I would wash separate. The cream is probably fine, but I usually used a liner.

I tried tto/gfseo but bleach just seemed to work better. Hopefully it clears up fast!

  • At his week weigh in, she said it wasn't yeast, which I suspected after a day of using the cream and it wasn't clearing up. She said its just a new baby rash due to his constant pooping. She suggested a thick barrier.

We stopped at Walgreen's on the way home and they didn't have waxalene (sp) so I grabbed two ointments that say they don't have petroleum in them. I scanned the ingredients, but I don't know what I need to avoid for them to be CD safe....

I bought babyganics soothing protective ointment and Shea Moisture baby head to toe ointment. Anyone know if these are CD safe?
