Thermometer question

I bought two new thermometers today. I cannot find our expensive forehead thermometer to save my life. So with two new thermometers the under arm one reads 99.8 and the ear one reads 102.5. Which do I trust? Should I just find an average??!!

Under the arm is not the most accurate measurement, so you usually have to add a degree. If you still have the packaging, see if there is a specific number they suggest.
