I know CDs typically add a little more bulk to baby's bottom, but my LO just looks and seems downright uncomfortable in the prefolds and covers. She loves to lay on her back and play with her feet (she just discovered them a few weeks ago!) but I noticed she's not really able to lift her legs up in these dipes. I'm using Kawaii organic cotton prefolds and Thirsties size 1 covers snapped on the middle setting. She's outgrown the rise on the XS covers and the absorbency of the NB prefolds. She's probably almost 14lbs.
I do either the trifold or bikini twist folds. Maybe flats would be better and less bulky? Or is there a better way of using the prefolds that I'm missing? I use pockets too and they don't seem to have as much of an issue. Any advice would be appreciated!

Re: Restricted movement in prefolds & covers?
Flats are definitely a trimmer option.
