I have a degree in Human Development, but I'm working as an ECE for infants and toddlers. I picked SS because I don't know if that counts!

My (first degree) is in English with a writing minor.
I took (and passed) all my state certifications for middle-school English.
I taught for 2 years, really didn't enjoy it, and switched it up to Pre-K for a year. I enjoyed that even less so I left the field and went into nursing.

Believe it or not, the fields are similar in a lot of ways.

I'm one of the ones working in another field. I disliked every moment of teachers college. I'm certified to teach high school family studies and French. lm waiting for my dream job for my degree in human ecology. I graduated 2 years ago and currently at home with LO until January. We will see..

Lots of elementary teachers here. You guys have my utmost respect. No idea how you do what you do. I'm certified 7-12 Biology. Current teaching biology and environmental science at the high school level. FYI, my day today involves lifesavers and labs. Love my job.
