whooshing sound in the ear??

Okay...19 weeks pregnant, noticed a whooshing sound in my left ear...synced up to my heartbeat...it comes and goes..mostly after Ive bent down or moved around...also for some reason when I go to..or "try" to go to the bathroom I can hear it...Anyone experience this??

Yes. Sometimes it's a whooshing sound sometimes it's ringing and sometimes I just can't hear. I assume it is fluid in my ear or sinuses.

Every time I am laying down. Makes sleeping even more miserable.

I've has it since about week 9, only my right ear, and it's most noticeable when I'm laying down or doing something quiet at night. I'm attributing it to extra blood volume as my bp has been fine lately.

Be careful! I had the same thing and was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri. It's a fake tumor...my body was making too much spinal fluid. Had to have spinal taps and now am on a diuretic to keep it from building up and causing more damage to my optic nerves.

Make an appt with an ophthalmologist or your regular eye doc. Your eye doc may get you to an ophthalmologist sooner. Which really does need to be sooner.

To me it sounds like excess spinal fluid...especially since it happens when you're trying to use the bathroom. Mine started with bending over and such.
Please get this seen about ASAP!!! I ignored it thinking it was nothing...well guess what? I now have loss of peripheral vision in my left eye because of it. You do not want that.

My blood pressure is always lower than normal. I have terrible allergies basically every season and I'm pretty sure it's related to that.

yea i think it might be sinus related too..the past few days i've been congested i think my allergies are just acting up and since I cant take any allergy meds i'm noticing it much more. I dont have any eye pain and my bp has been normal so hopefully thats all it is..I will def mention it to the doc next appt..thanks!

My bp has stayed below normal throughout all of this. And it could just be allergies and I really hope it is. Definitely mention it to your doc.

Having the same thing.  Started yesterday and I wasn't too worried about it, but today I woke up with a swollen lymph node in the right side of my neck so I'm waiting for a call back from my nurse line.

I get this when not pregnant sometimes. But I have a history of really bad ear problems. I don't equalize pressure properly and when I get sick or stuffed up I often get ear infections. Could be excess fluid behind your ear drum. But it does make me feel like I'm losing my mind. Hope it's better soon.

Random ear infection update: So...it turns out that the main problem is actually ear wax!  I have a bit of a cold and that's got some water in my ear drum, but apparently I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't had so much freaking ear wax in my ear!  Embarrassing...
