So mine are getting super dark, crinkly, spotted, and seem to be secreting something. They are also really, really sensitive, I have no idea how I'm going to tolerate an infant gnawing on them. Anyway, they look like they might need some moisturizer. Is there anything I can use that might help moisturize them, and prep for nursing?
Re: Let's talk about our nipples
Sass, I hate mine right now too. They are SO BIG. And they weigh a ton, I kind of have the urge to weigh them on my food scale. My areolas are so huge and dark now. I miss my pink nips!
Will say the nips definitely feel more sensitive this time around, don't remember that with my daughter.

I've noticed colostrum a few times. Sucks I can't squeeze milk at will any more because it comes in so handy! Cleaning cuts and scrapes on the go, pink eye, etc.
ETA: My hubby is kind of enthralled by them though, lol.
I definitely feel them tingle randomly and get shooting pains to one nipple (sometimes left, sometimes right), but I haven't been able to express colostrum yet. I didn't do that until 7-8 months the last time. My nipples are gigantic and the visual of dinner plate nipples made me LOL (really) so thanks for that @NatureLovers!
I second Lanolin (though some people don't like it because of its source [sheep wool]). I went through so much of that stuff H suggested we just purchase an entire factory!

Jan 15 NOV siggy challenge:
I find it irritating when each boob is doing its own thing. Particularly when one nipple is hard and the other is not. I feel like boobclops.
My nipples are dark (insert sad face). They used to be red/brown. My son even said to me "those are getting black", smh. My nipples are also very tender right now, even my areolas are sore.
They're also darkening which is always disconcerting to me.

Also, just a tip to get your nipples ready for feeding. I usually do it 4 to 6 weeks before baby comes is to scrub your nipples every time your in the shower with a loofah or something. It kind of toughens them up. I noticed it worked and the pain was tolerable once baby got here.
Also DH loved my nursing boobies...
Pregnancy boobies are tender though so I'm excited for milk production. I want the tender nips to go away
