Toning/Purple Shampoo And Conditioner

As an alternative for not coloring my hair, I purchased the purple shampoo and conditioner from AG. I've done research, but couldn't find much information confirming that it's safe to use them while pregnant. Does anybody know of it is safe to use them while pregnant?

Coloring and highlighting your hair is safe during pregnancy. Unless you plan on ingesting the shampoo I'm sure you and baby will be just fine

I was told by my cautious OB that coloring isn't that big of a deal... But if possible a highlight/low light application is preferable as there is very limited scalp contact. Because hair follicles are not alive and cannot absorb the chemical in a way that would transfer into your blood stream it's not a problem. There are also hemp dyes and other natural products if you are really concerned.

Also waiting until the 2nd tri was recommended but that had more to do with inhaling the fumes than the products contact. So you better believe I had an appointment a week into my 2nd tri and had my hair back on point.

I wait until 2nd tri to colour my hair, and ask my stylist to stay a bit away from my roots (it's blonde on blonde so still looks okay). I wouldn't worry so much about the shampoo. I use that stuff once a week or so, starting in second tri.
