This. It's no biggie to ask someone - Will you tell me how to pronounce your name? Or - remind me, how do I pronounce your name? Or - Is your name "Pree-ya" - am I saying that right?

I think Pree-ya and don't be nervous about asking. Last year was my first year teaching pre-school, I came into it a few months after the year started. I noticed that the other teachers and parents called some kids different names so this year I've made a point to ask every parent to confirm how the name is spelled, pronounced, and the nickname that they prefer we use. I've been thanked profusely at least six times for making sure that I am correct on their names! People will like that you are concerned about getting it right.
