Because its been a day!

I'm letting my kids watch as much tv as they want tonight. We have house guest coming tomorrow and I have massive cleaning to do!
also DH seriously just my feelings. don't think he meant to, but still, thank for making me feel like a fat ass. Jerk!

I totally bribed DD1 to clean the living room. I told her if she cleaned it spotless mommy clean, she could have a play date on Sunday. Bribery is awesome.

Oh, and my son is eating ketchup as his vegetable today because I just don't have the energy to force feed him peas.

The only vegetable DD will eat is spinach. She also eats corn and sometimes potatoes, but those aren't "real" vegetables. Honestly, we don't have vegetables very often because DH hardly likes any of them, so it's kind of our fault that DD doesn't want to eat them now either. Whenever we do have them I always give her some but she usually doesn't eat them, and I'm not about to try and force her to eat something she doesn't want. She gets a lot of fruit though.

Also, dd asked to go to bed at 6:45, so I put DS to bed then too.

Most of you know by now I have been using DS' nap times to sit on my butt and eat chocolate today. Right now I am watching I Love the 2000's. Hells yeah.

DD eats a pretty healthy diet, but she definitely inherited my sweet tooth. We went out to dinner tonight and she had some gelato for dessert and sobbed hysterically when it was gone.

Then we got in the car and DH asked DD if she wanted to listen to Chuck Berry on the way home and she said "Cake."

"You want to listen to Cake?"
"No. EAT cake!"

@verovladamir‌ Do you remember Teacher Clark saying the same thing when her girls stayed the night with her xah? I seem to remember someone pointing out that kids act out like that when they are totally secure in their relationship. Not that it makes you feel better knowing that, but your kids know without a doubt that they are safe and loved.

I actually do remember that, and I try to remind myself of it often in an effort to keep my sanity. I've just been super frustrated because before this shift change I spent all of my free time cleaning and I felt like I wasn't spending quality time with them. After the change DH has really stepped up with the housework and has made my life much easier, so I've been spending more time doing activities with the kids (play-doh, stringing beads), but hey seem less happy with me. 

I think it's the begging for dad part that is getting to me. Naughty kids I can handle. But Nathan  told me to go back to work so daddy could come home.

DD did that for awhile with me.  She's always been a Daddy's girl but I think she knew it pushed my buttons.  She hasn't done that for awhile now but I know how horrible that feels!
