    DD has a pretty high fever and while I'm not happy she's sick, I am glad I get to stay home with her today. I need a work break.

    I gave Clara Benadryl on the overnight plane ride to Europe, and then gave it a few more nights when her sleep time was messed up because of jet lag.

    And although I know IUD users are supposed to check strings every month or so, I haven't done it in a while. After having a nightmare last night about getting pregnant, I decided to check the strings to reassure myself that couldn't happen... And couldn't find them. I was freaking the fuck out until I finally found them tucked up really high. I know I'm not ready to be pregnant again (maybe ever) but that experience definitely drove that home!

    i disagree. i love credit cards! i utilize credit cards for points/cash back, and mileage...i pretty much don't pay for any of my flights, and i have over 40 flights left to use on SW airlines.
    If you can pay off the balance every single month, and use the rewards then get it girl! A majority of Americans get stuck in thousands of dollars of debt, and the rewards don't get used. Debt scares the shit out of me
    It's true that people have a real problem with credit cards, but that doesn't make the credit cards evil! People just need to be more educated on financial matters - that is the real problem. 

    I am with @jennlin. We never carry a balance on any of our credit cards, but we use them for errrrything and rack up cashback and rewards. It pays.

    Besides the rewards, paying on time on revolving credit accounts is very good for your credit... assuming you have a low or no balance, etc. This helps you in the future when applying for credit that you really need, like a mortgage.
    I've never been against credit cards exactly, it's just that I was always a little scared that I wouldn't understand all the terms before getting it, then end up with some mess on my hands that I wouldn't have control over. But now I'm feeling like I can handle it so I'm thinking it's time to give it a shot.

    One of the biggest reasons I got the card was because I'm feeling like we never travel and it's bumming me out. I'd like to be able to see the country and do some exploring, but we're so cheap (er, well, DH is...) that we never rationalize the cost and never go anywhere. My hope is that earning points for flights will make it more likely that we'll actually go places and see new things and just be more interesting people in general.

    That and we want to be in a position to buy a house at some point. 

    Actually, has anybody here bought a house without having any credit card history?

    you start with credit cards that either advertise for little/no credit history....or store cards. i think i got an express (clothing store) card on or about my 18th birthday.

    a friend of mine has.....the key to a good score is many different types of accounts as well..i bought my house without previous "loan history" (never bought a car), which affected my credit as well. if you have positive history in all other places, there's no reason you can't get the best rate.

    Along these lines, I guess I have another FFFC. DH and I usually pride ourselves in our taste in music, but when he's at work, I put on the Top 50 iTunes radio pop station for W because it's the music that makes him dance the most.

    Congratulations @carriet2018‌! I totally thought we would be ready to try for anther by Oct, but the closer it gets the more I have to admit, it's a terrible time to try. So I am super excited for and soooper jealous of everyone who is Ku or trying.
