I had to start this to be a big ol' AW: it's my first day of school and [save for my glasses] look pretty good and LO slept almost 8 hours in a row last night!!!

I think most of you know that I work in a year round school (9 weeks on, 3 weeks off) and today is my last day with my kids before break! I still have work days on Monday and Tuesday, and being off-track means that I have spent the last week packing up my entire classroom and today will move it all into storage, but hey, this mama is ready for a break! Maybe with no students for three weeks I can finally get caught up on grading

Forgot to include my random:

A friend is house hunting and asked me for help researching schools.  I'm kinda excited about having a little project and that someone thinks of me as having "expertise" in this area.  I was half joking that I should put "consultant" on my resume when I go back to teaching.  Since resigning I've helped 2 teachers design social studies units for ESL students, 1 design tests of increased rigor to match our new state standards, and now researching and evaluating schools.

We're driving down for my H's grandmother's memorial service today. This is the second grandmother he lost in a month (one was his step-grandmother), both to cancer. Fuck cancer.

At least we won't have the toddler with us...some friends of ours offered to watch her for the day. They have a little boy who is absolutely in love with her, so they should have fun.

DD slept four hours straight then woke every hour after that. A few minutes ago I dropped one of my pump membranes in the sink and flipped the f out. I surprised myself, I think it was a result of my sleep frustrations. It really wasn't a big deal to wash it again yet I'm still a little pissed about it. That's not good

@armfruit, sorry your Friday is off to a rough start. Back pain is the worst, I hope your DH feels better soon and that things settle down for you today!

Happy Friday all!

Having a down "hate that I'm a working mom" kind of day. We thought that MH's job was going to be a bit calmer this fall with rolling off a major client, but he's actually traveling more than ever so we're juggling a LOT right now and I'm having a hard time keeping all the balls in the air and feel like NO ONE is getting my best right now, not work, not home, not MH. 

Sigh. Thanks for listening to me whine.

My kid has had the same thing, and we were at the pedi (for a well visit, haha), and pedi was not concerned at all. Obviously I don't know if T has the same thing, but that's my unhelpfulness.

Good morning! Guess what?! Guess what?! Tomorrow my DH is FINALLY coming home! Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I can hardy contain my excitement. Someone gif me some awesome happy gifs, please. <:-P \:D/

I had an awful headache all day yesterday that refused to go away. It's still lingering around today. Boo. I was out and about with my mom yesterday and finally broke down and needed some Tylenol for it. The only thing I could find in the diaper bag was Infant Tylenol. So I took it. I'm thinking I need more before it starts hurting worse. #-o

I'd give a call if it'll ease your mind. They'll let you know if they want to see him in person. Or at least that's how my pedi works! I always feel better after talking to the doctor.

Mr. Pup just sent me a photo of a house he's looking at...it has a pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wasn't that one of your stipulations for a visit to Nashville?

And it's completely fenced in, with a lockable gate, separate from the house, so my worries about W are lessened somewhat. It's still slightly terrifying, but I'm not completely against it.

morning ladies.

so i made a super healthy breakfast of oatmeal with bananas and i was carrying it into the living room and somehow how--i still have no idea!-- i managed to drop it and shatter the bowl all over the kitchen. UGH. the oatmeal was so stick to clean up! and that bowl broke into so many pieces it was ridiculous.

ugh. so i had toast. and I'm hungry but I'm too mad to go into the kitchen still.  i just want a pumpkin muffin and a pumpkin spiced latte from starbucks...stupid budget and not having money bc of said stupid budget

You all should be so proud of me. I have managed all morning to successfully talk myself out of a panic attack in regards to this move.

My mind is absolutely swirling with insanity  -- I feel like I need to make a list to help me sort my thoughts/tasks, but every time I try, I get panicked and freak out.

@golfergirl08, I go to San Jose twice a month for work.  I love the airport's Southwest terminal   That area is SO super expensive to buy a house, though!  Our friends live in Redwood City and have a very similar house to ours, in a bad school district, and it cost double what our house cost in San Diego.

I suck at taking bc pills now.  I used to be great at it, but it's been >3 years since I stopped and I haven't been able to get the hang of it.

I told H that I was sucking at it - full disclosure so he couldn't be mad at me if we dtd, he dwac and we gp.  So little scare last week when I realized we'd dtd after my HS reunion and we were unprotected...  Kinda had a visit from AF (I think) but not certain - I'll be POAS later to be sure.

Called the OB to switch me to the patch and had to go through the conversation about the fact that I'm not BFing (RN assumed I was - not sure why, it's in my chart (should be) that I'm not) and then of course she had to remind me of all the pros to BFing...  She didn't come right out and judge me for FFing, but I still feel like a failure again.  Grrr.

I texted daycare for an update on my little hoarse () and she said he's been doing okay.  Took a nap in his PNP, no more crying ('cept if they don't get his bottle ready before he's ready), and they (G and his daycare gf riding in the double stroller) took a nice walk outside.

@hammysmommy : I suck at it now too!  DH would be thrilled with an "accident" so he's no help.  

I am so sorry the nurse made you feel badly.  WTF?  What purpose did she think it would serve at this point?  I am so rage-y about this for you.  This is such a trigger for me since BFing didn't work out for us.  

Anyway, just a huge "I hear you" to almost everything you said.    ((HUGS))
