I want to preface my whining by saying that in spite of all the challenges of pregnancy, I have never before in my life felt genuinely this happy or at peace with myself.  I find it kind of surprising.

I'm feeling kinda sucky all around.  I have a mild cold, the fatigue and nausea are still there, and my hormones have been going bonkers leaving me moody, and exacerbating the nausea and fatigue.

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

I'm still anxiously awaiting my Verifi results.  No appts for a while.

Rant:  I've been running on empty lately and managed to conjure up some energy to cook dinner, only to discover that the kitchen sink was backed-up (again).  DH temporarily fixed it, but the fix involved spraying the back-up water all over the kitchen floor.  I hereby declare, with all you anonymous people as my witnesses, that my next house will be a new one.  I'm tired of old house problems.

Sorry to hear you're feeling mildly miserable. I don't think there is any reason to apologize. Hormones are running our lives. The two-faced, belligerent bullies. 

How long between the Verifi test and results? And are they always taken at the same point?

I'm Marija, from DC, just got an early BFP (12 DPO) yesterday so trying not to get too excited quite yet. 

May 2015, 3W, blastocyst is micro-cyst size, I guess.

I'll be 27, with 9 years of experience (36) if all goes to plan.

No other dependents, except for a husband.

Feeling excited, scared, fine physically, annoyed about the really bad acne.

QOTW (Wow, these are good!) I swing between wanting space and wanting to socialize. Definitely a morning person (at least up to this point in life). Funny or die! Love to take my time when relaxing, but I'm strangely impatient when the cashier is relaxing. [-(  My head talks to my gut and usually wins. Occasionally, there is no time for talking, in which case it's gut all the way. And I love fashion, just not the stuffy corporate-style attire. I love linen, silk, wool, canvas, whites and bright colors.

Other than feeling like a whale, not too bad!  Still the random nausea/MS/throwing up episodes but it is manageable.  I do get this pain or cramps every now and again - not sure if it is round ligament pain or something else.  I will ask at my next appt.

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Next appt is Monday - 20 week w/ the nurse/midwife (I alternate appts w OB and NMW).  I then have my follow-up a/s on the 17th - we had it on Tues but our little one is stubborn and while moving alot, didn't want to flip over so they couldn't get all the measurements.  But from what they saw everything looks great.  He/She is also camera shy and had it's arms covering the face...

Rave - FINALLY feeling him/her move a little each day.  And I think I may have felt something on the outside last night (though I think it is early for that so it could have been a stomach rumbling or nothing at all).  It was after dinner and we were on the sofa, and I felt the baby moving, so I put my hand where I felt it - after a few minutes I felt a little bump - DH tried but couldn't feel anything so maybe it was in my head.

Let's see - I would say hybrid / depends on the situation but probably more extrovert; Used to be a night person but now I get tired earlier so am becoming a morning person; definitely more serious but w a sense of humor; definitely high speed; depends on the situation - prob more with my head; nice casual... but every now and then I love to dress up.

I am an introvert though I play an extrovert online lol. I have to get up early to get girls off to school but I used to be a night owl staying up to the wee hrs reading. Pregnancy has shut that down. Quick. I think I am funny. Take my time. Half and half on gut/head. I am extremely casual. But I get to dress up tonight for a banquet my hubs has to attend.

Overall, very good.  I managed to do something to my upper back (I think I slept funny on my neck and it was causing pain by my shoulder blade).  I was very happy when DH got my neck to crack b/c that fixed the pain!

I am an introvert, but I come across extroverted (I'm a people person, but I need my alone time to recharge).  I'm definitely more of a night person, but I can make myself be a morning person if follow a strict routine.  I'm more funny than serious.  High speed.  Definitely go with my gut.  I'm more casual although I'm on the dressier side for work.

Hard question.  I'm more of an extrovert with some social anxiety.  I am a night person (when not pregnant) and somewhere between funny and serious.  I'm totally high speed though and never seem to have any free time, but cram more into my schedule than you'd probably believe.  I trust my gut, but my brain is usually in line with it.  I hate dressing up.

Hey @marijaa333  Great to see you here!  Welcome and congrats.  Most women do a separate intro, but this is fine too.  Feel free to do one if you want to.

The Verifi results take a week or two.  I had my blood drawn last Thursday.  I should get the results pretty soon, I think.  You can start to take the cell-free fetal DNA tests at 10 weeks.  The longer you wait, the more DNA material from the placenta makes its way to your blood.  If you test too early, you could have an inconclusive test result and have do another a few weeks later.  My OB appointment happened to be around 13 weeks, so that's when we did it.

Ugh... I'm not sure if I even know how to describe it. Let's see... I usually wake up feeling pretty good in the morning, then after I eat breakfast I feel a little worse, then after lunch a lot worse and feel it for the rest of the day. It's nausea mixed with something else, some kind of pain and upset stomach? I thought maybe I was eating too much or not healthy enough, so switched it up and ate more often, smaller meals and more fruits and veggies, but still feel the same, so I don't know what to do.

Then yesterday I started to feel super dizzy, my heart was racing and I was having to take deep breaths, had the same thing today, I went to the almighty google to find out what's going on. I guess around 12wks/2nd trimester your veins start widening to let more blood flow through and it can cause your BP to drop, mine is already pretty low, so it was crazy to see 99/56 on my home BP machine. I called OB nurse and she said it's common around this time. It's amazing to me how calm they always are about everything, when I'm over here freaking out between breaths!

Had OB appt on Tuesday, follow up to Mat21 blood work, but I had already received results, so she checked for HB but couldn't find it with doppler (I've mentioned before that I'm also overweight and of course baby is still tiny), so we went to the ultrasound machine from the 1960s -- I was excited for a minute about possibly getting another US photo! Oops, nope, this US machine only showed static. But I saw a baby shaped static once the OB pointed out where everything was, then she squished on me some more to try to find the HB, no luck, then the static screen went crazy -- the baby started moving all around and waving his arms, so that was pretty cool! But then I felt like crap for 3 days after with extreme lower abdomen/pelvic soreness... Oh! And I have a UTI too! That probably added to the pain/pressure! But on meds now.

I'm ready for the fall... so tired of the heat -- RANT: apparently my a/c is broken, its barely pumping out 75 degrees of 'coolness' and I work from home, so I'm sitting in front of the fan everyday.  We're going to have a baby - who can afford to replace an a/c unit?? But we must do something, our last electric bill was almost $280 - yikes!  So, it's either replace some coil for like $1000 which prob. will break again in a few years (I think it's leaking coolant) OR $5000 for a whole new unit which doesn't use those types of coils............. hmm...

I dream of being an extrovert, of hanging out w/ my close friends and their friends and feel sad when I'm left out of stuff, but then when I do go, I'm socially awkward! So I guess I'm an introvert. Night! Funny - I love to laugh and make others laugh, it's the only way to get through this crazy life! The older I get, I seem to enjoy a slower pace of life, except when I'm driving, I'm always in a rush to get places! My gut is not very smart, I usually go w/ brain, but my heart interrupts the thought process sometimes... I HATE dressing up! I'm glad I'm having a boy!

• TheBump says the baby is the size of a prune.  I wish they found a better fruit because, well - reasons.

4) How are you feeling?  Kind of horrible.  MS has been constant, and it gets exhausting to deal with 24/7.  It seems like nothing consistently works.  I'm tired of being exhausted and now getting dizzy easily and feeling like I'm out of breath.  

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?  I just had bloodwork done for chromosome testing.  I'm eager for the result, but trying to stay relaxed and just be focused.  

• Rant: I feel lonely.  No one wants to hear about MS and feeling miserable...I get it, but it's hard not having any comfort for it at the same time.  My husband doesn't really get it and isn't really a touchy-feely guy...and there's no one else for me to get comfort from.   
  
  Also, true story: yesterday when I was getting my blood drawn for chromosome testing, the phlebotomist asked me why I waited so long to get pregnant and if it was because we had troubles.    Thanks, lady!
  
  
• Rave.  I am glad there is this group.  It is really comforting to find other women going through the same things, and understand a little more given being closer to where I am in life.  Not to say women in their 20s aren't wonderful, rather that it's also nice to have a little more in common.

Sorry you're feeling so ill and lonely @xilahn.  Feel free to rant/post as often as you want about it.  We're here to listen.

Most of my family & friends live far away.  Only one friend is empathetic.  Everyone else including my own mom think it's like planning a wedding or something.  DH is sympathetic, but I think he gets stretched a little too thin at times too.  The support I get here really helps.

Hi everyone! I have posted some OB here but not much. I did an intro last week, but have mainly been lurking.

I am due Oct. 1, 2014. I am 36 weeks 2 days the size of a honeydew melon.

I will be 35 when I deliver.

I have a 12 yr. old son and a cat that is our baby.

Right now I am at the miserable stage. I can't sleep, I have severe edema in my feet and legs, I have been having a lot of pre-labor signs/symptoms and at my check up this week I was dilated 2cm and 50% effaced. I am getting so excited to meet our baby girl!

My next appointment is Wednesday for my weekly and I get checked every time now.

I would say that I am an extrovert, a morning person, go with my head, funny, high speed, and casual.

DD1 is 1.5 yrs old and we're picking up a fur baby on Tuesday! My last fur baby died while I was pregnant with DD1 . @MsMacual - how has it been with a puppy and a little one?

Excited! Nervous, anxious, stressed, worried.... but really trying to enjoy the moment. It's hard not to worry at this point. Feeling the same symptoms as with DD1 - uterus feels full, a little cramping, general off feeling. I'm curious how this pregnancy will be compared to the last one.

Will call the midwife's office on Monday. Great to see all the ladies from TTC>35!

I'm new to this board, so a few days late - but hope its ok to add on today and intro like this!

March 4, 2015.  14 weeks, 4 days - Lemon.

Me - 37, H - 42 or 43 - depending if babe is on time or running a few days late.

3) Any other children? Furbabies?

6 nieces and 2 nephews I love dearly, but this is our first human.  We do have 4 cats, Mollie & Madelon - both 11 (sisters) and Mistee - 3 & Mazzy - 2 (mom & baby) - and we are trying to talk ourselves out of getting 2 more before the baby arrives.  

4) How are you feeling?

Good.  I was miserable from 3 weeks 6 days (the day after I found out) until about 12 weeks.  Then just tired for the past two.  On Friday, my feet started to swell and I was nauseous all day yesterday.  Can't wait to feel the 2nd trimester energy burst I have heard of.

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

Happy to meet you ladies.  I have an OB appointment this coming Friday, and a perinatologist appointment the following Friday.

I am an extrovert, although can be a little shy around a group I don't know.  I am an any time of the day person, as long as I am sufficiently rested, fed, exercised, and hydrated.  I like to be efficient yet enjoy myself - so I would say just the right speed.  I generally go with my gut.  These days I like to be as casual as possible - I didn't even get dressed yesterday.  I do feel better, though, when I have my hair and nails done, make up on, and am nicely dressed - although not necessarily dressed up.

UGH!  All day long sickness...I even threw up last Wednesday.  I am the worst sick person ever!!!  Come on week 14...that's when I started feeling better and even great last time!  Just hoping this pregnancy is like that one.  Fingers crossed... I'm tired, but not like last time.  I can actually make it through the day okay.  I still haven't told my parents.  I am dreading their reactions and yes, yes, I know... I'm 40!  It's ridiculous!  I am telling them tomorrow though.  Wish me luck.  They live with my husband and I and provide child care for my DS.  I won't say we get our child care for free because they pay no rent, no bills and I am buying all the groceries... don't ask... my father conveniently quit his job a couple months back... my husband and I weren't planning to have 2 kids, 4 animals and 2 adults to support...
