I will say as someone who knew nothing about them prior to this thread other than what was on normal TV/news/pics on tshirts at Target, in the pics/interviews/etc that I *had* seen, I had totally assumed that both Louis and Harry were gay. So it was funny to read this and see that I had possibly been right. 

Same here. The first music video I watched was Gotta Be You. I remember thinking that they had no interest in the girls around the camp fire...

My quick thoughts on the Harry/girl dramz:

I think a lot of the big Larry blogs are being deliberately obtuse by not even acknowledging the possibility that Harry banged Altoid girl.

I also very much agree with them that we only see what we were meant to see, and Harry could not have been more obvious about this. I also find it suspect that there are no pics of Niall with his girl, despite there being eyewitness reports of it. And she (Altoid's friend) is the one that was spotted leaving the hotel this morning.

So IDK. Just more shadiness, as is par for the course these days.

I feel the same way a lot of the time.  But, their entire lives are extreme if you think about it, which makes all of the other stuff seem less crazy if you're looking at the whole picture. 

We can pretend all we want that they are just normal people (and of course they are), but they are a brand, and a product, and they have to sell that product.

I don't like to agree (because jealous) but I don't doubt it.  I do think they do things for publicity, but I also feel really weird about what happened last night, and some of the stuff I've seen on tumblr leads me to believe that they were legitimately trying to be discreet.
