I feel like I've read a lot of differing opinions on feminism here lately. So I came across this article and thought I'd see what you ladies have to say. 

I actually thought it was a joke until I read the entire article. Then I was just kind of peeved at these guys. 

So, what say you ladies?

Hearing this quote said by A WOMAN was even worse. Are you kidding me?!

I believe that many of the issues faced by men and boys have to do with the fact that men are not socialized to share their feelings and form close, emotional bonds with friends.

If women were featured in academia as heavily as men are, perhaps Women's Studies would not need to exist. The solution is more equity, not the creation of a Men's Studies department. FFS.

Seeing that quote makes me not want to get myself worked up today. I'm a therapist in a psych hospital, and I literally had a patient today who has recently raped and struggling with trauma. At one point she mentioned it was her fault for going to the party and drinking.

When will the victim blaming stop? Women have the right to enjoy drinks and not get raped. Why do we shame women for sex appeal, and allow men to get away with some sort of entitled mind set when they see something they want they can take it if it was "provoked" some how? Unacceptable.

Ugh I hate stuff like this it just shows that people have no idea what feminism is. It's about equality and half of these men's issues that are a problem steam from inequality. If we actually had equality half of these issues would go away! Men have higher suicide rates because they are taught that they must be masculine that they shouldn't have any feminine traits because women aren't equal and that would make them less of a man. So much pressure is put on them from a young age that they have to be tough and be the "bread winner" or they aren't men. That in order to be a man they have to exceed in work force and be the man of the house because women can't do it... If the world had real equality these things wouldn't be an issue and a lot of the pressure would be taken off of men because they would stop being looked down on for being at all like a woman. Almost all of this is caused by the sexism against women!

Ugh I love that they bitch about needing a Men's Studies. As if every history, math and science class isn't already a study of Important Men and their ideas!
