I am now 8 days out and feeling really good, just exhausted from lack of sleep. For me, the first 36 hours were the most rough. My bowels weren't "awake" yet so they wouldn't let me eat anything for the first 24 hrs afterwards...couple that we not being able to eat the 24 hrs before that and I was feeling pretty terrible. Getting out of the hospital bed was torture at first, but once I got on my oral pain meds, I felt good. Definitely sore, but not unbearable. We went home on day 3 and I just made sure to stay up on my pain meds. If I did, then I only had some slight muscle pain when getting up from sitting/laying down. Unfortunately, I developed a rash around day 3 but didn't call till day 6...turns out I'm allergic to the pain meds and had to quick them. I was really nervous to do that but have been taking Motrin and not having any issues. I've also been taking gas pills and stool softeners on a schedule. My biggest issue currently is breastfeeding but hoping that'll get better. Hope you're having a good recovery, those first couple days are the toughest!
I am on day 4 post c-section. I am doing okay need to remember to take my pain pills and also not over do it at home. I am really hoping to get back to normal soon. My issue is with LOs sleeping

I am nearing the end of my second day post op. I have good moments and some bad. The worst seems to come at night after I've been up and active during the day. I did have my first bowel movement today thanks to a suppository, def was needed as not going was adding extra pain and discomfort. Now that I've went number 2 I'm feeling much better and my vaginal bleeding is almost gone. The hardest part is getting in and out of bed, once I'm up I feel pretty good! I'm looking forward to being home and getting on a schedule with my lil guy!
How are your incisions? Mine is super low and about 6 inches long. I was surprised they took the bandages off so quickly. I have steri strips on mine and they will eventually fall off. Showering the first time was a tad scary but to be expected I guess!
Congrats on all of your babies! Seeing my Max helps me get through the hard times and he is my motivation to push through the pain : )
My incision is also super low and about 5 in long. I am surprised how well it is healing and never had any pain with it. I am also shocked at the lack of vaginal bleeding. My ob must have cleaned me out very well. Really no more than a light period or some spotting. Definitely not what I was expecting!
