Sophie's Choice of bad names

Someone on my local moms FB group just posted asking which is better for her baby girl: Bradlea (after the dad, Bradley) or Lady (because she needs to make it clear this is a girl? Who knows).

Bradlea is running away with the votes but I' d almost vote Lady because at least it's clear that's a girl....

  • Unfortuantly, I know a one year old Bradlea, after the dad. They were told they were having a boy that was going to be jr and had a surprise girl and only changed the middle name....
  • Ha! That's my husband's name, and it was a huge joke for us that we would name a daughter Bradleigh because just no.

Is she asking for suggestions? If so, I like the idea of suggesting Bradley as a middle name. Maybe Layla (or Leila) Bradley since Layla sounds similar to Lady.

Stretching here, but someone please, for the love of all that is good and holy, help lead this woman in a different direction! lol

  • Blarg! Terrible. If we did a name mash our kids would be Kellosh, Jolly, or Jelly. I guess either of her choices would be better than that, at least.

Her name is Leah, and someone suggested B.r.a.d.l.e.a.h. But pronounced like Bradley. She looooved that. I suggested she use Bradlea as a middle name and she wasn't crazy about that. Someone suggested Brynnlee and I never thought I'd be hoping that name got chosen.

Eta She has an older daughter named Lola. I don't know how you go from Lola to Bradlea/Lady.

  • My dad who died when I was 2 was named Brad. If anyone has an excuse to use some kind of feminine form of Brad it's me, and even I can't condone this.

(We've pretty much definitely settled on Bradford for our next son's mn though :).)
